I'd actually prefer if Gus' 1st-and-10 plays out of the no huddle were attempted more at the goal line and/or 3rd & short, and his goal line and/or 3rd & short plays were attempted more on 1st-and-10 out of the no huddle. That may not solve everything, but at least I could probably convince myself that the players were given a fairer shot at succeeding in those situations...

Anyway, if some in this thread really enjoy what Gus puts on the field most of the time lately, you must just really love Auburn more than me. Because it's boring as shite.

Bama has defensive issues, LSU has yet to run the ball, UGA hasn’t played anyone. TAMU, MSU, UF will tell us what we need to know.
Don't try to get my hopes up with this shite. But I do agree. Other posters hit on it though. Guy is really close from putting it all together and to have his offense look inept at times is just disappointing. Couldn't be more pleased with the turn around of defense. He has talent on O(besides OL recruiting). I will reserve judgement until we play TAMU.

Wasn't long ago that Gus and Chip Kelly were two of the most highly regarded offensive minds in the country. They've been caught up to. It's time to innovate further on that side of the ball.

I always feel like we have a shot with Gus teams. I remember the years of the shitty offense. Down 2 scores - game over. This year still has lots of potential but its championship or bust every year.

I do agree about LSU & Georgia...but I always ask this....WHAT HAVE THEY WON. Gus has been to 2 SECCG and won 1, been to a NC...SAME AS KIRBY!!
LSU haven't won the West since 2011.
I'm really afraid that if Auburn lets Gus go, he goes somewhere and builds a juggernaut. Saban just has a grip on the league right now, but it won't be much longer....

This is quite a solid melt thread for just week 2 of the season, well done everyone. I’d put our defense up against Clemson’s d and the aggies couldn’t do shite. Mond sucks and Franks is a clown. Despite our o line and Gus’ play calling, we can still make a run to LSU.
