This week's matchup with Arkansas reminds me how little enthusiasm I have for Auburn playing that game. I'm not trying to knock Arky, but I honestly care nothing about their school or anything they do. I don't know that I will warm up to traveling to Texas every other year either.

Imagine playing UT and Florida again every season like the old days.

Do you think there will ever be a reasonable chance of AU moving to the East? Or will the SEC end up in pods at some point with expansion? Or have we lost our old rivalries forever?

You mean imagine having reasonable road trip distances?

I wish that our away schedule this year didn't have an estimated drive time of over 6 hours per game

Probably not.

If we expand to 16 that's what I prefer they do.

Looks like we have.

I think the only real chance we'd have is if the Big 12 collapsed and we picked up Okie and Okie state. Then Bama and us could move to the east. And that would be pretty awesome really.

I miss playing Florida every year.

Move to the East and drop the Iron Bowl. Best thing that could happen to us.

Alabama will never let us move East.
They are afraid we would gain an advantage recruiting in Florida.

Bama gave up nothing in expansion.

We gave up our:
1. September big game= Tennessee
2. Part of amen corner= Florida

Honestly I wonder if anyone in the East wants us to move over.

I mean, would Florida or UT vote to add us to their division? Or USC for that matter?

I don't understand why people want this. You want to drop our biggest rival?

Yes. Drop the Iron Bowl. We did it before and we should do it again. The "rivalry" needs to take a break IMO. Being in the East better positions us for recruiting better areas of talent (Florida and Georgia).

Why not just move to the east and keep Bama?

The whole series needs to take a break IMO. I really don't see what we gain by playing them every year?

I see your point. I was getting a little tired of football in general. I was hoping they would just let the football program go on a few year hiatus.

No. Bama and UT will not allow it and the rest of the conference really does not care.
