Too soon to start this up?

Brock Vandagriff - 5* 247Sports composite. UGA backup... may be looking around with Beck securing the starting job.

Grayson McCall - 3x Sun Belt POTY. Wanted to come to AU after last season but we couldn't figure out the transfer credits. Would now be a grad transfer and I believe he should have one more year to play because of COVID. May look to come back one more year because of a relatively strong QB class and to try to move into the first two days of the draft?

I have no problem discussing it but we won’t know anything until December

Grayson McCall

He’s having an awful year compared to years past. I wonder what the cause is. Would probably still take him though over what we have.

Could TJ Finley transfer back?

Well, his coach left and as a result probably has less talent around him. Surely better than our receivers though. He's a gunslinger which is what we need. Just won at App St putting up almost 400 yards with only 19 completions. Would much rather have to deal with some interceptions from a guy getting everyone involved than watching stalled, scared drives that just demotivate the defense and receivers even further.

Other than starting instantly, not sure why anyone would come here right now.

Yea. Who would want to play in front of 90k people and want to make a ton in NIL.

Gun to my head, I think we’d take Liberty’s QB right now.

I have so resisted the urge to tweet out a pick of Liberty's starter QB to Hugh and ask him does he regret not recruiting that kid to transfer? Heck, I believe their 3rd string from last year would have worked out well enough. Of course, my frustration is shining through

I think if we can get a quality QB, we will go after them.

Brock Vandagriff seems content being a backup forever at UGA. I hear his name every year and he stays on the bench.

I agree. Vandergriff seems pretty patient to wait his turn. Even if he did decide to transfer landing at Auburn seems like a long shot. I would take him with open arms though.

That’s who I mentioned the Crootin thread. But apparently he got kicked off of Tennessee’s team after he was arrested. So if he did transfer again he’s have to be a grad transfer and I don’t think he will graduate until 2025.

had an inexplicably bad game against GA Southern in which he threw 4 picks (even then he had 300 yards passing)

other than that he’s been pretty solid

I guess Nussmeier is going to have 1 or 2 years of eligibility left at LSU assuming they don’t already have some big 5* coming in or redshirting. I really thought he’d transfer and get immediate playing time but whatever. Maybe Kelly has told him he’s no 1 when Daniels is gone
