Nahh. We can win with Hugh calling plays. His philosophy may be frustrating to some but if he can get the o-line figured out and Jackson is who we want him to be we should see a dynamic offense next year.

He's shifty and quick af. Feels like you just pick players to hate on for no reason.

And a back that can pick up a blitz is immensely valuable. And he didn't put the ball on the ground again after the Arkansas game.
there's no hate behind the critique. What i said wasnt wrong, just harsh. Harsh truths arent pleasing to the ear.

To be fair, he did his job in the second half of the season, but nothing really stood out. Do you remember any plays he made?

Durell Robinson is from St. Francis Academy as well? I didnt realize that. All these boys need to tell Elee to get his arse on the plains.

Nahh it's wrong.

He hasn't had a breakout performance but it's hard when you're playing second fiddle to a guy who already isn't getting enough touches. He had enough 5/6 yard runs to show there's something there. I'm not ready to pump him as all-SEC but I'm definitely excited to see more of him.

We'll see. So far I havent seen enough to say he would be the clear starter.

You never know though. Maybe he finds another gear in the off season and shows out. Hope he does

There's a whole 55 second highlight vid on YouTube lol. The explosiveness and giddy up and very apparent on the first three runs.

I'm not against him as a play caller but it seems to not work as well now for HCs.

56 of his 85 yards in that game came on one run. Which means that his other 9 carries went for 29 yards (3.2 yards per carry).

Alston has been an OK backup, but that is probably his ceiling. Not every RB on the roster is going to have impact SEC starter potential.

Aw man, so if I just take away the 56 yard run against the Bama defense then that'll prove your point huh? lol I'm not saying he's a superstar or Even Hunter, just that he's far from a scrub which is (pretty much) what another poster was suggesting. Glad we got the kid from Connecticut though.

Any RB can catch a break and have the defense lose containment on one run and rack up a bunch of yards, which then makes it look like they were dominating the whole game, even if they did frick-all in the remainder of their carries. Don't be silly.

You specifically called that game out. I'm simply pointing out that ~66% of his yardage in that game can on one run. The fact that he had little success on his 9 other carries kind of implies that the one run was an outlier in that game, otherwise why wasn't he more effective on his 9 other carries?

The more I think about it…. The more I’m pretty sure Jackson Arnold is extremely good and we just got incredibly lucky. Lucky that OU offense was horrible, they hired a new OC, and Hugh was good enough to get him to come here. Arnold was the best player in Texas and the players on our team and on other teams know it. We are ridin boys holy hell.

I'm calling out him running for 56 against Bama because he's talented. I get the point you're making, but that's like saying a receiver of ours had 107 receiving but if ya take out the 80 yard bomb where he beat their best DB he only had 27 yards. (I better stop with the back and forth) because it's only a matter of time before I get accused of clogging the thread. Anyway how'd that Virginia Tech OL visit go? Lololol Anybody???

Will Arnold go pro after the first Heisman or become the first 2 time winner since Archie Griffin?

Alston isn’t a starter level SEC back and is barely average in pass blocking. He just looked competent when compared to Jarquez.

Something that must be addressed in the offseason.

As many have said even with Durrell on board I still think we need a hammer in the backfield.
