To be fair, I have only read a few who are trashing particular players. Granted, some have said some really shitty things, but I don't think it is worse than what we hear from other fanbases when star players decide to take their talent elsewhere.

I’d assume, contrary to our fanbase’s opinion, it isn’t a guarantee a guy will leave even though they are entering the portal. So will give them a visit with the potential incoming transfers and give them a fair shot too.

I find it interesting that he entered the portal from Oklahoma St but they are his 2nd scheduled visit. I think we’ll see quite a bit of this, basically giving his former school a second chance to recruit him, after visiting his potential preferred offers before that

Well, a lot of ours are doing the same. It's going to take a several years to get a handle on perpetual free agency and a lot of lawyers will get rich in the process.
This is actually the fans (boosters) fault. Everyone complained about there being no guide rails with NIL but the day after the NCAA attempted to implement them we threatened to sue. Human nature is greedy and stupid.

Remember that OSU didn't have a whole staff when they hired their new coach. He still had a bowl game left to play. So I imagine he is hitting his old school to meet the new coaches & support staff. He left campus not knowing who his position coach was or other members as his new coach was coaching at his old school..I would imagine some of our guys would be similar...

If some of that was true there’d be not only loss of NIL money for some but a quick kick out the door… and we didn’t see that happen.

Dumb question ...how were Coleman and Singleton partying the night before games? Isn't the entire team sequestered in a hotel somewhere?
If they were either allowed to no go with the rest of the team or were bringing folks to their rooms that's as much on the football staff as on the players.
