CAG should have set down with Ashton and been real with him. “I’m bringing in Byron hopefully. You can stay and compete or we will support you on the future endeavors “

There is not a roster AD can join that won't have multiple QBs. I dont know what to tell any of you if you thought we were rolling into next season with the two QBs on our roster.

He is one of those guys that squashes the "he makes too much" narratives considering he didn't even expect to play.

He came to be a backup for Arnold after being the starter at Stanford. Doubt backing up Brown was an issue.

I bet the Mercer merchant is paid a lot though..

So you sit Deuce down and say, your pay is still the big bucks. We are gonna bring in Brown, you get to learn the system from him, you will be our solid two so we will give you playing time this year to be certain you are prepared for us the following year........by the way, did I mention the guy we brought in to be the backup last year....he is still here.

I dont think that would work. And you cant exactly tell Daniels til you are certain Brown is on board with the program. The portal does not open for two weeks, Daniels was not treated badly by any means.

You "performance doesn't meet the paycheck" stans are just making shite up. I know Deuce is worth more. You know nothing. Stop pretending that you do. I can read what Daniels wrote.

Anti******ites added a post on ESJr

I’m very confident Eric Singleton Jr. will be back next season. I’d put my certainty at 95%. Things are looking good for him to return. My people say he’ll be back. I don’t deal in absolutes as you guys are very aware of. But if all my people say it, then I feel confident telling you guys that I feel that way

Hate re Daniel’s but he isn’t an accurate passer and doesn’t fit this O in my opinion.

Would be better if it was, actually. Then both sides would negotiate, and there would be a settlement with a binding agreement on both sides. There would be some stability to move forward.

I see three guys on it that really hurt.

Simmons
Crawford
Brockton

The other ones we can find replacements for.

A.Williams had his moments but every time he’s had adversity he pouts.

Lee got torched a lot.

Amaris looked destined to break out this year. Makes no sense to leave because with Faulk, Murray, & Keyron gone... he was THE GUY. Same for Blocton.

But hey... Jared Smith, Malik Autry, Jourdan Crawford, Jakaleb Faulk... ball out.

Hate to break it everyone here but Byrum Brown isn’t the most accurate passer either. We definitely need him on the roster but I don’t see him as some super hero. If he just gives us really solid SEC QB for one season I’m good. We should not give this kid 2-3m a year tho.

I hate to overpay for a transfer generally, but this is a different scenario altogether. There is proof of concept with the HC. I think any "overspending" is paid off by increased likelihood of success which levels up the recruiting/transferring in the next cycle.

I think he got to show he deserves to start somewhere. This is his last year of eligibility and I doubt he would have been our starter.

He took over at a really rough time and I wish him nothing but the best.

I know this wont help the Aston Daniels fanboys, but this might make some of the other Auburn fans back away from the ledge this morning

If only we could've held on to kent Austin qb developer guru. Brown would have been the most accurate passer in the country after he got his hands on him. Just look what he did to all the other transfer qbs....lol.
