Yep, and this is also why you don't post stupid shite on social media for the world to see, dogging the school you're leaving on the way out the door.

2nd chances will be harder to come by with millions involved

Honestly I would love that, would be hilarious. He's too locked in to be on Twitter but it would be hilarious.

Ok, now let’s close this portal class out strong with several OL, DL and Edge(s)

Looks like the OG from Ohio State is deciding between Us, Ole Miss and Kentucky. Shockingly, Kentucky has spent some serious money and has some good gets on the OL in the portal

Malcolm Simmons is learning that fact the hard way.
He’s had several teams very interested until they dug into his past.

Yea Kentucky has been dropping some serious money this cycle. Figured they'd be tapped out after what all they had to spend for this basketball season. Guess that Horse Racing money runs deep

I guess. I can see the long term reasoning, but Brown has been injured before and is a running QB. I would feel a whole lot more comfortable with some experience behind him. If he goes down none of those other QBs are ready yet. That's a big risk to take imo.
Under the current era, your backup QB is either going to be young and talented with little experience, or he is going to be experienced but coming up from a tiny school (like Chambliss), or he is going to be experienced but "defective" and is just mailing it in to end his career. Its like one of those "there are 3 parameters, you get to choose 2" scenarios. A talented and experienced QB is going to be starting elsewhere, not sitting on your bench holding a clipboard. That is the reality.
How do you know that Ti'a can't be "ready"? He is entering his 2nd collegiate season. The backup's role is to learn and improve, play mop-up duty, and to come into the game in an emergency and not destroy the offense. There is not a single NCAA team that is expecting their backup QB to lead their team to the CFP if their starter goes down for an extended period of time. What you saw with Chambliss is an anomaly, its not like Kiffin predicted that this D2 QB he picked up was going to step in and immediately be one of the best P4 QB's in the country. In reality, a talented but inexperienced Redshirt Freshman can also easily surprise in an emergency.

You’re making too much sense for some folks on here.
Jville, you might want to educate all of these head coaches that are leading CFP teams and raking in $10M+ a year to make these decisions. Apparently none of them know what they are doing with their QB rooms.
Here are some more for you:
Oregon's backup is a Redshirt Sophomore with 16 career pass attempts (Brock Thomas). Their 3rd string is a Redshirt Freshman (Luke Moga)
Alabama's backup is a Sophomore with 35 career pass attempts (Austin Mack). Their 3rd string is a True Freshman (Keelon Russell).
Miami's backup is a Redshirt Sophomore with 116 career pass attempts (Emory Williams).
I just named you 7 CFP teams. The most experienced backup of those 7 is Emory Williams. The rest are basically all completely green QB's who have seen little to no game action.

I think jville is just sad and bitter that his boy Robby is out of eligibility and can’t come back to AU and make his dreams come true.

Never got why Malcolm decided to go rogue. We supported him after his domestic situation when most teams would have dropped him. We paid him decent and he got playing time. Then after the season he goes full Re*ard and says Roll Tide as a big FU during a live. Someone in his camp had to tell him to not be an idiot right? Doesn't he have an agent or something?

Looks like Ti'a played in a fairly similar veer & shoot style offense in high school, so could be a good situation with him. Talented kid, just need to see how well he can develop.

A backup who could come in and not skip a beat in the SEC end up starting somewhere else. I get it though. If it were me I'd rather play than sit

Now list how many teams are going into next year with 1 true freshman 2* and 2 redshirt freshmen one of them being a low 3* as their backups. That’s right, zero.

Only retards like yourself keeps bringing up a QB that has been gone for 2 years now, but he did score 40+ points and throw for over 300 yards against an SEC defense the other week. When is the last time an Auburn QB did that?

In fairness Robbie needs to hire a resume builder, and look at the Avis management trainee program
