He’s not a legend, not even a little.

He can’t separate himself from the other QB’s in the league and wants to find an easier gig.

But he’s represented our school well and I wish him the best. Good luck Bo.

KN talked to someone connected to AU about Rattler. Summary is that he’s not a great fit and Auburn hasn’t reached out

Good. Rattler is a horrible teammate and a locker room cancer. And those in his circle (like his dad and his personal coach) seem to love getting in the spotlight and getting quoted for stories about him.

Don't want that guy anywhere near the Auburn program.

Without him we would have been 3-9 and if he hadn't gotten hurt we would have almost definitely been 8-4.

I'm not arguing he's not better than Finley, but that's not a high mark to set. I also think Auburn would've beat South Carolina and uat with Nix, but I'm not saying "definitely." He couldn't beat either one of them in 2020.

I really would have thought the last two games would have stopped all this stupidity but alas...

What's stupid is people thinking the sky will fall and Finley would be the guy next year if Nix left. If Nix leaves, Finley is probably gone too, because there are some good QBs in the portal that are very interested in Auburn. Finley won't even be 2nd string next year, if he stays.

I hope Nix stays, but I'm not going to sit here and act like he was more than an average QB.

I understand your perspective but I'm tired of Bo and his inconsistencies. I think that's why most of of the Auburn fans doesn't care if he comes back. They just want something different but that doesn't mean that different will be better.

From a football perspective, I never understood why Pat and Bo decided to let him commit to Auburn under Gus. It was clear Gus was stuck in a rut and no QB was going to excel under him. I think the blind loyalty to AU by the Nix’s probably hurt Bo’s career.

According to 247 transfer portal list Gabriel is going to Ole Miss. He will porbably light it up there.

Did I mis-read? Sorry. I just naturally associate you as a Nix super fan. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Exactly. So why freak out over a QB leaving that just went .500 his 3rd year starting? I hope Nix stays, but let’s not act like we’d be losing Peyton Manning here.

This isn’t totally fair. Bo has his flaws, but if he doesn’t get hurt against Mississippi State there is a good chance we hold on to win that game. And we definitely beat USC and Bama with a heathy Bo all other things equal. Just imagine having a read option or QB run possibility on that 3rd and 1 that could have sealed the Iron Bowl?

We aren’t as bad as our 6-6 record this year, and I don’t think it’s crazy to think we could have finished 9-3 with a healthy Bo.

100%

This is what frustrates me the most about all the criticism he gets.

But when you grow up wanting to play for AUburn so bad, then get your chance, you tend to either overlook the deficiencies of Gus, or Bo and his dad thought Bo could be the one to make Gus offense really work.

Bo had to learn it the hard way. The fact is Bo did get better under Harsin after 2 years of Gus.

Now it's a matter of Bo and family deciding what's his next best option, outside of possibly the NFL...

If Bo leaves Auburn to play his last year elsewhere, he will tarnish his family name in a way that is not reversible.

There is zero chance Bo leaves. Just cant see it.

no matter how much the haters want him to, its not happening

If I were Bo, the grass would definitely look greener elsewhere. However, if he just commits to another year at Auburn and makes a few marginal improvements, suddenly he could be draftable. I haven’t studied next draft class and I know it’s rare we have two weak ones in a row for QB but I don’t think he’s too far from putting himself in the 2-4th round mix.

But he’s not there yet. And if he leaves, will Auburn ever feel truly like home again? That would be sad for the Nix family.

Disagree...Certainly he will tarnish it with the haters, but many folks will remember him and the Nix family in a favorable way.

I would not say Zero, but very small chance. He loves Auburn too much to leave.

Ohio State 5* QB Quinn Ewers in the portal.

We should offer whatever he wants.
