Cole Cubelic has tweeted twice that he is hearing Bama/Minnesota in the Outback. The second time he also included Auburn/Michigan in the Citrus.

Anyone think he has legit sources, or just being an Auburn homer/wishcasting?

IMO he doesn't do that. It is also my opinion nobody knows who is going where yet.

Disagree. They're good, but not damned good or great. I've watched parts of their games, and they performed alright. Many teams could have done the same thing with a midseason setup like they had.

Nebraska W 34-7
@Rutgers W 42-7
Maryland W 52-10
Penn St. W 31-26
@Iowa L 23-19
@Northwestern W 38-22
Wisconsin L 38-17

We have faced and performed better against much steeper competition. Our defense would keep them in check, as their offensive statistics were largely pumped against lesser foes, and their defense is not talented enough to keep Gus, even this year's offense, under 30 points, maybe even 40. If Gus brings his A-game, we are a better test for them than any of Iowa, Penn State, or Wisconsin.

I agree we need to show up, especially with a motivator like Fleck and this SEC opportunity. But let's not get carried away here.

Also, Brown and Davidson have earned sitting for the draft if they want. Gus would be seen as a responsible, considerate coach for encouraging them to do so. But I personally think they'll have a hard time doing so themselves, not suiting up in orange and blue for the last time, advised or not. That Iron Bowl win would be quite the capstone if it were me.

Davidson has no business sitting.

Brown could if he wanted to. He could’ve left last year though. Preservation for the NFL doesn’t seem to be too important for him.

I don't know enough to know if Cubes bowl sources are credible. We (and they) need the CFP rankings first, though, to see how far Utah's bed shitting drops them, how far UGA and Wisky fall.

After NY6, it's up to the Bowls themselves, and they historically have listened to the MSM.

Brown's family told him to finish what he started...I can't imagine that will include sitting the bowl game.

If he plays I don't seem him going through the motion like a lot of past future NFLers have for us.

Agree. The more tape Davidson gets, the better, as his quickness is below avg NFL. But I'm not sure how much more he can improve his stock before the pro day/combine, and he might be comfortable where he gets assessed.

If they don’t have enough tape on Davidson by this point, one more game won’t make a difference.

Could help some. He’s not a first round lock so might as well play. Dee Ford’s stock didnt really take off until the Senior Bowl ya know.

Bowls are never about fairness.

And I would not be surprised if they overestimate Alabama enthusiasm for bowl games this year.

And face it, the media would like the Harbaugh/Saban narrative better than what we offer.

Like others said, our main goal should be just to get to ten.

Brown has absolutely nothing to gain from playing, dude is probably a top 5 pick. No reason to risk injury, we should all be grateful that he chose to come back this year and the impact that had on our season.

Brown does more for AU being atop 5 pick than playing in our bowl game.

Time to let the young guys try to prove themselves

Let's just let Brown and Davidson make their decision and support them afterwards.

Id be willing to be both of them play.

You don't think Milton was a generational college QB for a school like UCF...he was pretty special at this level.
