Continue to drop?
Doesn't it spike and then plummet, spike and then plummet, spike and then plummet? You're acting like it's a one way trend. How about we stop doing our gotcha moments everybody time it spikes or plummets? I don't have a dog in the fight but the gloating just seems silly to me

I've got a good bit of ETH and Ripple. Lots of fluctuating.
I think Ripple will tail off pretty soon (IIRC something about South Korea rejecting it has caused a bit of a dip and it MAY not recover). But at this point we invested $2k into it at 19 cents so we've made almost $20k on it, in about a month.
With ETH it's been up to $1300 as recently as yesterday and i bought $5k worth at $450.
Again, invest into this stuff with play money. No reason to think you're going to invest your way into an early retirement here with this stuff. But you can definitely supplement your 2018 earnings a bit with it and fatten up your savings or something.

On December 17th Bitcoin was at $19,795.61(HIGH), it is now at $13,760.19.. Go back and look at this thread around these dates.
Who is investing now? Will it go up or down? My personal opinion is that it will continue to fall.
ETA: I agree with the previous poster, if you are going to invest go with Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash.
Litecoin has dropped the most (Percentage wise) from $369 to 234.

Eth is where it's at according to a friend of mine close to this who is also an analyst. He expects it to be at 10k-12k by the end of the year.
He says 12k-13k is probably the new floor for btc but it's likely not to raise much.
He expects bcash to raise to bcoin levels at some point by the end of the year but not sure when exactly. He isnt putting money into bcash yet because theres money to be made riding other fluctuations and will try to find out when bcash is going to explode before putting money into it.

Like I said, past trend has been spike, plummet, spike, plummet. Using the price a month ago isn't really a deviation from the past

It continues to go down ($2,400 today) and has been trending down. Now at $11,368. Many on here were advocating buying. Do you see this as a buy opportunity? When I chart, I saw a HUGE rise then it has dropped pretty consistently.

everyone talking seems to think bitcoin is dead and moving to other currencies
since bitcoin value seems to be driven by solely by folks buying it, i would stay away
