Was Montae Pitts not a 5*? I think he was at one point by some service but I could be wrong, that was a long time ago. Turned out to be more of a rapper anyway.

He was a 4*. The knock against him was he was from such a small program but he had elite speed if I remember.

Always take jumbo athletes to fill your roster. Kids body hasn’t matured and can easily play at 260 and maintain speed. Not saying he’s an elite pass rusher but has a great frame and is athletic as hell

Different world from when he was recruiting. So much more on tape now with YouTube from 7-on-7 and camps and Hudl etc. hard to even equate it to when Montae played.

He was a 5* at some point but ended up a 4*. I'm not going with the Auburn drop as an excuse. It really doesn't matter in the offseason because if we win the players will come. They will even flip from other schools. Also it doesn't matter once they sign and come what they were ranked. They will either produce or ride the bench. Rankings are just to sell subscriptions and magazines.

Former Auburn running back commit J’Marion Burnette has committed to Houston.
The Andalusia star decommitted from the Tigers in November. The second national signing period begins Wednesday.
At Houston, he will join former Auburn assistant coach Zac Etheridge.

Pretty sure it was grade issues if I recall….he committed to Missouri then didn’t sign with them either. Lots of rumors he might end up in JUCO.
