Hugh Freeze is licking his chops. He was already winning head to head battles against a recruiter like Saban. Now he gets to compete against a significant downgrade who has no SEC ties and hasn’t recruited a top 25 class in his coaching career.

It’s a pickle for sure.
Do you bring your staff, many who have been with you a long time and helped you attain the success you have had, or do you hire guys you don’t know that are already in the program for continuity and recruiting familiarity not know if they will do it “your way” or the old guy’s way?
Will be interesting to watch.

Gotta do both. Coordinators should probably be his guys. But he’s gonna have to hire some guys that can recruit and are familiar with the area.

I absolutely love that Saban is gonna have an office there as well. Can never have too many cooks in the kitchen.

Saban will have to ok his staff hires, along with every other decision. It’s going to be must watch entertainment.

It's an absolute nightmare scenario for them, but local media and the ESPN knob shiners are spinning this at a legendary level. He has no SEC ties, he's not traditionally an elite recruiter, he was the 4th-5 best option, Saban will still be there to make his life miserable. Lolololol sounds like a perfect storm) slash match made in heaven.

In a couple of years Finebaum will be writing another column nut dragging Alabama, this time he won't be at Bear's grave he will be at Saban's statue.
