Gus would sign 4 dual threat QB/ATH that were 4 stars then try and make them WRs.

From the ON3 board on Perry Thompson.

"The relief on @Jhead34382 face after Perry’s announcement says all you need to know. I believe Mr. Head even mentioned that his sources had a decent amount of angst and anxiety about Perry the past few weeks."

I remember we tried to rationalize a Gus QB recruit that couldn't start for his HS team.

This board would rather pump sunshine and rainbows than face the music of what's actually reality.

We were extremely fortunate to hang on to Perry.

This class is actually put together in a meaningful way too, it addresses our most important needs, unlike some of Gus/Chizik classes.

We clearly needed edge rushers and went and got 3 great ones, needed explosive play makers at WR and got 4, possibly 5.

Needed size and explosiveness on the interior Dline and filled that hole as well. Really impressive.

This and this, thanks Smuphy. Im tired about "other" classes where we signed too many highly ranked kids at positions of lesser needs. Or kids we knew would not qualify or would wash out.

Stellar class, simply stellar.

We signed him. That was always most probable and that’s what happened. Same as the guys we lost on today. The field won, as was most probable

That’s what you continue to fail to recognize. It shows your youth, IMO. This is a results business. Nobody is going to give you a reach around for pointing out that you’ve gotta close out these recruitments.

Angst is normal. Doesnt mean there was any intel out there.

WDE- fake insider at AUF was all black helicopter once NSD approached with Kerryon and Roc Thomas.

Probably because they were jealous we were going after RW. Look at this bama fan on twitter: he
admits to making up the story of Perry disgruntled at NIL.

We got him and that's all that matters. Today with all the money flying around everyone is lucky to hang onto their 5* recruits.

Yeah but you don’t know how close we were to disaster so you need to be pissed that something bad could have almost happened.

Could it be that in a climate of players being paid he "acted" like he was open behind the scenes because that would get him more cash? That's pretty standard in MY opinion. That's going to happen with a lot of top recruits these days. Maybe you did hear that he was shaky because that's what his camp wanted at the time dude.
