With all things equal, how would he recruit? I think ‘25 will tell the story.

The story was written today. It will be solidified in 2025. Two years worth of elite talent stacked up?

I don’t doubt that. But it was apparent that OM went from recruiting basement to penthouse, overnight.

There have always been teams that can pay without regard to the rules, and teams that have to pay with discretion, because the NCAA loves to punish the teams that aren’t their faves.

What I think is amazing about this Auburn recruiting class compared to ones in the last ten years is:

--We didn't lose anyone committed to us on signing day.
--The number of players we flipped along the way from rival SEC schools this year.
--Not winning a flip from another school on signing day is a helluva lot easier to stomach because they were not ours to begin with.
--Highest ranked class since 2015

**Still in play for Favour and Echols

Let that sink in. Look at Saban's class rank his second year at Alabama. Compare that and we are ahead of schedule.

We are on the right path! WDE!!

How’s 25 different than 24?

Feel like he proved he’s a great recruiter with this class. Why wait to 25 to admit that?

Gus & Gene had some classes. AU has the facilities to attract recruits. It’s not unusual, like OM.

If Hugh cracks top 3-5 class in ‘25, then he’s starting to get into rarified air at AU.

He’s been a great recruiter in his first year. Now with 2025 he will have an extra year of relationships with these guys. Most schools are on elite players years ahead of time and it’s hard to sway them just jumping in late. Him having another year of recruiting and relationships with these guys will only help push the 25 class

It’s coming.

Getting Ryan Willams and possibly Favour would get us to top 5 this year.

Hugh had a great first class but we are playing a fool’s game comparing his progress to Saban.

ESD has become the new NSD and people don’t pay attention to rankings as much in Feb as they used to, but Ryan could still put this class in an incredible place.

Man that Julio class was pretty high ranked if I remember. I know Gus had maybe a class or two rated higher, but let's not forget that several of these dudes like Reddick lost a 5th star that would've put us even higher without echols or RW. The top of this class is as good as I've ever seen.

Ryan and Favour gets us to 284.52. That’s still leaves us at 7 slightly behind Texas

Add AJ and we’re at 288.92. Moves us up to 4 (well actually 3 because I think Bama would fall below us)
