If that endzone is taller and closed in, I would reconfigure seating to move students down to that end where it would be unreal loud for an opposing team going into that endzone.

That’s a great add whoever came up with that idea.

I was hoping they would do something like that. That scoreboard has seen some of the greatest victories in Auburn history and college football history.

Some specifics for quality of life updates from Cohen. The upper deck fans being able to access the terrace area is pretty awesome.

quote:

This project will enhance your experience at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturdays in the fall, adding five new entry gates, 66 concession points of sale, 13 elevators and 270 restroom fixtures. The project also offers Shug’s Food Hall, located on the concourse level and open to all fans, with four new dining concepts expanding food and beverage options.

A key aspect of the project – and one of our Conditions of Satisfaction throughout the design process – was to provide a marked improvement in experience for our upper deck ticket holders. This project does that by connecting the east and west upper deck ramps to the new Tiger’s Terrace atop the Jordan-Hare North Project, providing upper deck patrons with access to 87 new restroom fixtures and 40 concessions points of sale.

Connecting the upper decks is going to be great and those concessions and restrooms were much needed. It looks like the outside the stadium terrace has an underground reserved, where I guess the opposing team enters

I'm actually curious where the opposing team is going to enter the field from. The picture of the inside of the stadium appears to have the ground level club seating wrapping around the whole endzone. May just be the picture doesn't have it detailed out perfectly. I wouldn't be upset if we make them walk around the stadium and enter through the second entrance under the student section where the emergency vehicles and stuff enter from when needed

So I think the outside terrace isn't ground level with the field there so there is space left for an underground parking lot perhaps.

Yea, there is an "underground" area below the terrace where they probably enter the stadium. Talking about the actual entrance onto the field from their lockerroom.

You can see some of the underground here:

But if you look at this one, it appears the lower club ring has removed the field entrance the opposing team usually enters in through, from the corner. It may still be there ultimately, just not immediately apparent.

I would find it very hard to believe the new club won't be more expensive than the others.

The new club will certainly be nicer… the Nelson Club and the East Club are absolute dumps for what you have to pay. However, Auburn has had hypothetically 1,000 or so club seats to sell in years past and now that number is about to jump to 3k or 4k I would think. Laws of supply and demand would say they probably won’t be able to charge that much more for just a comparable chair back seat in a club area.

Even if not part of this project, seems like a refurb for those spaces could be on the horizon, not that it matters to 95%+ of the fans.

Opposing band lately have started not going down to the field as often as it is too much of a hassle to get down and back for halftime. So I'm guessing they will have some changes to field access all around with this expansion

Too bad those expensive suites are staring right into the sun on afternoon games.

Sat in the north endzone one time years ago and vowed never again.
