Indifferent on Napier. Clark pissed me off if he actually did what is being reported.
Everything aside, I'm content with our new HC. It's different and a breath of fresh air.

It was a joke to think either had leverage. Both would have taken the job... regardless

Harsin was a blindside. I’d heard of him , but knew very little else about him. That alone is remarkable, in that I was very familiar with every realistic candidate for AU’s HC position since Dye.
I was favoring Cristobal early on, and was disappointed when he re-upped with UO. Then I wanted Napier, because he sounded like the real deal (and I still think he will be a force whenever he steps up to a P5 job). As for Clark, I’ll defer to my uncle’s description, having been a lifelong Prattville resident and PHS supporter: he called him “an a-hole with ears”.
Harsin has impressed me, based on what I’ve seen and heard these past couple of days. Still not sure how it all went down, and am cautious about the staff choices (as well as how much autonomy he will have in mak8ng them).
But as for now, I’m happy with the end result.

You were leg humping him with AU86. I think he is on a flight to Oregon as we speak

Exactly my feelings. The thought of Clark getting the offer is just laughable imo. He’s done nothing anywhere that counts and would possibly be worse than chizik 2012 against the likes of real SEC talent.

The melt on Clark was valid. The critism is on AU fans for falling for the same gump strategy of shitting on our university. Our fault.

Ellitor liked him that much, that he would be one of the top coaches to replace Saban?
Wonder what he based that on? Clark is already 52 and has only coached within this state at a college level?
If he's so darn good, why has no one in a P5 program offered him a job?
I saw a few on here over the last few years constantly bring his name up if Auburn might move on from GUs. I figured they played for him or it was someone related to him always plugging his name as a great hire.

I am happy for who we got. However, don't like the whole stuff that went on by the click bait sites stirring up controversy. It seems to happen that way with us for some reason on many things. I never wanted Clark and dislike how he said he turned us down. Don't have a problem with Napier and how he handled it. To his fans it looks like he turned down a couple of SEC schools to remain with them. Not an issue for me as that is a tactic that doesn't hurt either party.
I have a real issue with "insiders" who were reporting crap trying to get the fan base riled up. I also have problems with people going overboard on #StoptheSteele stuff. I totally get what was being fed but turns out it wasn't true. So the real issue is the folks who started that going and helped get it to national news. That hurts Auburn. That is the issue that I have with the whole thing.
