He has been the same guy this whole season if you have been watching…
He’s a chippy player with a big ole chip on his shoulder. And he’s one of the best 20-25 players in the country

I have watched every possession. He has not acted to that extent. In fact, there were times earlier in the season when the announcers would comment how he "would have handled this or that last season". shite like that costs you games and he should know that better than anybody. Hopefully Bruce steps in and puts a stop to it. Bruce let stuff go last season. It bit both cheeks.

Apparently not. It’s not like he does it every second of every game nor did he last year. But he has instances every game… the guy he is guarding and being guarded by are always chirping. He ain’t changing and Bruce won’t ask him to

The whole CBM episode did completely throw them off yesterday. They looked completely out of it after that. Props to the rest of our guys to stay dialed-in and just do their jobs the rest of the game.

Bruce likes players with a bit of an edge trying to get in the other teams head. There's just a fine line of letting them get under yours that CBM is getting better at

I trust that Bruce will take him out in games in which it really matters if he senses he is about to cross the line. He has done it in a couple games this year

I think he's pulled a few people when they start getting tilted. That's the convenience of having a deep team. Anybody on the floor, including Broome can be pulled from the game for a handful on minutes to let them cool off and come back in dialed in ready to go. All while not missing a beat for the most part.

quote:A little confused here, who are the "them" that was "completely thrown off" by this "episode"? They were up 21 at the time of the double technical with about 9:30 to go and they won by 28 with empty the bench time included. I didn't see anyone's play affected by the elbow or the technical foul...other than CBM.

Fears was absolutely frustrated and more concerned with talking shite than focusing on the game. He was erased in the 2nd half.

After CBM fouled out, he was at the end of the bench barking at the ref. Bruce was standing between them, looking at the other end of the court (as if not paying attention...but you know he was). I have to presume that Bruce was there to shut him up if CBM went too far. Nothing was said, so I presume we gucci!

I saw on Twitter that the ref and CBM had been talking the whole way through that and it was good natured

That would explain the lack of attention it got when it carried on.

Yeah, I really don't have an issue with what CBM did last night. He tried to steal a tech with the elbow and then the refs got him with an extremely weak tech when he went out. We were up by like 20 and it didn't hurt anyone's performance except his intended target. So whatever.

I'm fine with CBM going after Fears. The kid's mind was fricked for most of the second half. He scored 1 point in the last 14 minutes.

Time to move onto Florida which is a huge matchup. UF may be the biggest team we will play in conference. The inside battle is gonna be insane. I think Broome is the most versatile inside player on either team so hopefully he can collect some fouls to slow down their intensity on defense.
Is Walter Clayton gonna play is a big question? Denver and company need to gear up quickly on defense so he doesn’t get going. He gets hot their offense is almost unstoppable.
We are the better team and playing at home gives us a big advantage. If we were playing in Gainesville I would be extremely worried. UF can still beat us if we don’t play well.
Concerning game going in because UF is a very good team. Like I mentioned last week. Our measure for success is hustle, intensity, rebounding, and limiting fouls. We do those we can win any game.

Love that pic. Ever seen the video of it going down. The Gator has zero chance

That’s a Croc (sorry for being pedantic, nephew is a Conservation Biologist and works with Tigers and Snow Leopards). But yeah the videos of these and also Jaguars destroying Caiman in South America are metal af.
