I have no idea how any of that is legal.

For off ball screens, a lot of it is because it falls into a gray area in the rules between incidental contact + screens.

This basketball loss hurt more than anything I've witnessed in Auburn sports. Yes the 2013 football championship game was bad, but we had recently been in that moment in 2010. We had never been in this moment in the history of AU basketball. To see the fan support, and the inspirational play of this team was unbelievable. We never got praise from national media like all of the other teams. The way we lost that game was absolutely gut wrenching, and if I felt that bad I can only imagine how our players felt.

1985 IB will always be the absolute worst.

Every time I think about Anfernee whispering "For Chuma" and knocking down those 2 free throws at the end I feel a pang of sadness for this team.
this is 100% what keeps me heartbroken about this

I feel like losing to UVA in the Final Four stings more than losing to FSU in 2013.

FSU's win over us was a combination of bad luck (remember the special teams defender who cramped up, allowing that long FSU return?) and the fact that FSU just had better athletes overall. That game wasn't stolen from us. That's the difference. Bad enough that the officials ignored the double-dribble. Worse was the hypocrisy of THEN deciding to penalize AU on the most ticky-tack call I've ever seen in a championship/playoff. Pearl was right. Be consistent in the calls. But they were consistently favoring UVa.

Nah. Not forgetting or forgiving this one anytime soon.

Most painful was 2004, we did all we could do and still did not win the NC.

FSU 2013 and Saturday's FF game will be at the top of the list.

But for some reason, the loss to Georgia in 1992 comes damn close for me, even though it was an overall crap season and there was nothing on the line. After all these years, I still just can't get that ending out of my head, lol

Man I just watched the replay on Youtube for the first time since being there Saturday night. I'll just never understand what Samir was thinking there. He was in perfect position just to jump straight up and make it almost an impossible shot. Why he just barely jumped toward him I can't understand.

Just read this nice quote from yahoo sports..
quote:

Having rolled over all the blue bloods in the competition this year, Virginia and Texas Tech took their match-up in Minneapolis in the first NCAA Men’s championship overtime in 11 years for the former to win 85-77

This loss stings a bit but let’s be honest, Auburn getting to final four is a bit out of place. Do it again, soon, and I will be a bit more bitter with a loss like this

Oddly enough, just like I called the kick 6 while at the game, to the people around me,, I told my FIL at this point of the game, “we are going to foul a three pointer and lose”.

TAMU in 2014 sticks out in my mind. The loss ended up not to matter much considering the collapse at the end of the season, but it sucked arse at the time.
