Yeah reportedly lower tiers will come out in the future. For now I could see groups of five getting together and each chipping in $50/mo and just Venmo’ing whoever is the subscriber.

Is the NIL site a state run organization?

I was getting ready to commit Lanier to the 1000.00/mo tier to go towards Gus's buyout. So please let me know. Thanks

The common folk will be priced out.

Plus - what do folks get in return? How much money is this site making from donations versus amount to players etc?

Well, I presume the money is going to Auburn University which is a state run organization.

I think it goes directly to players who sign with NILAuburn

I am pretty sure NIL money will not be funneling through the University, and think it is prohibited to run through the university. The NIL Auburn site is a separate entity (third party) I believe.

I believe they will be offering lower tiers eventually.

Correct, to be considered NCAA legal the university cannot be involved. They had a zoom call a few days ago but not sure if they touched on that.

The percentage I’ve seen thrown out (not sure if it’s legit) is that 10% will be taken off the top and 90% goes to the athletes.

So who’s running the NIL then?

What a deal. Maybe we should start a site. Get donations. Then skim a percentage

We need more local businesses involved. We are behind other schools. My QBs have deals with local car dealerships. Just looked at Hank Bachmeier and he has a deal with a Hyndaui while all Nix had was Milo's tea and some sport shows

I’m with you on this. Since they opened it up to bidding I have pretty much checked out.

As for the app and sub to this, I make pretty good money but I’m not donating a mortgage check a month to pay for play bullshite. I would rather not bother watching any more football if that is what it takes.

I am sitting on that line as well. I have lost interest in pro sports for the most part and rarely watch any of those now. I suspect once this NIL is full blown, I will lose interest in college sports as well.

I only keep up with pros due to fantasy football.

College is still great to me. However we are moving at mach speed towards about 5 schools already having every top recruit every year due to their NIL connections and money

This is where I am. Might be watching a lot of UNA or Bham Southern football. Possibly Samford.

The NIL program that is being the "approved" one for our players right now is a for profit business. As stated above it might be 10% off the top but there is going to be some kind of "slush fund" around it because supposedly somehow the players are going to have taxes removed or be tax free in some way.

I don't know how I feel about it really.

I don’t think it’s tax free, I think they are just escrowing the taxes so players don’t get unexpectedly boned come tax season.
