Before everyone starts hating on this: I will repeat that THIS is why we closed so strong in recruiting (I think it was 7-8 four stars in the final two weeks of the early signing period).
THIS is why Tank Bigsby chose to return to Auburn.
This is what will pave a way for Auburn to be competitive as a football program in the future. It’ll also help with basketball as well.

Is this based on fact?
People don’t just donate money without returns. What is the advantage that lures the self-interested?

I’ve seen it word for word from posters on other boards that are insiders. It was presented to recruits and is the #1 reason we closed so strong.
If it keeps up we will have a top 10 recruiting class in 2023.

Yeah I thought at least they had autographed memorabilia that came with it. But this doesn’t detail anything.

The idea maybe provided initial positive momentum but the idea still has to gain traction. I’m still missing the reasoning of donation.

They are launching an app with exclusive player content.
“The "App" will be easy to use and will get better each day as we train our athletes to upload content and add more teams to the platform.”

Fantastic idea. However, I am afraid they priced a lot of people out of subscribing.

hoping a bunch of memorabilia does hit the market
I've been filling my mancave lately, would love for more options to come available on resale

They are launching an app. It will only be available to subscribers and based on how much you give it’ll provide more access to player/team content.

This sounds like OnlyFans. Might be worth it for the gymnastics team.

Lol. I think it’s more about getting the guys money for our program to be competitive than the actual content you’ll get from the app.

For $1k a month I get an app with player/team content? Sweet, sign me up for 2.
There is nothing on that website that I can find that says what % of money received makes it to the athletes or what the $ donated does for the the donor.
I know I've said it already, but I think I'm in the short rows of my life-long college fandom.

Maybe I'll start donating when they open it up to track & field...but only when Spry is gone.

For the uneducated, how is this better than what other programs are doing?

We’re ahead of the game with this. Other programs have boosters (A&M, Bama, Georgia) that are paying more than our big money boosters do. That’s why we need this to level the playing field.
You get a few thousand Auburn fans to donate $250-1,000 a month and that’s a ton of money to dish around to incoming recruits after they sign. It’s very appealing for them to come here knowing they’ll have that and get great exposure in the SEC.

That’s a pretty cool shirt. I’d definitely buy it if the Auburn logo was on it.
Auburn logo on a Braves hat. Delicious.

That is great. Imagine how much more money Auburn would get if they had a $50-$100 and a $25-$50 tier? There are tens of thousands of retired grads living on a pension who would love to donate. There are many Auburn fans who live paycheck to paycheck who would love to donate. Those numbers they came out with priced a lot of people out of the equation.
