Points by quarter, but I think the site I got it from I was looking at a wrong Auburn

Yeah, it's a team called New Auburn. WTF? I will get accurate numbers soon. BRB

Sounds like something Beaver would do.

You're exactly right, and this is a massive indictment against Gus.

Yep. At the end of the day, here is who Gus Malzahn is:

He is an 8 win coach, that if he can catch lightning in a bottle with a transfer QB, he can have a pretty great season.

Some seem to be okay with that being the foundation of our program. I am not.

Surely there is a more measured approach that doesn’t involve paying Gus Malzahn not to coach so you can go take your shot at the next flash in the pan Justin Fuente type coach.

I mean, for starters, you don't give a coach such an asinine contract.

Now, if we want to discuss weather or not financially it is worth getting rid of Malzahn this year or next, that is fine. Accepting Malzahn as our coach for his results though is not.

Ha, yep we kind of are mediocre to bad every quarter. I'm shocked.

Nah, the website is.

The Malzahn contract was stupid, but it’s a sunk cost now.

I’d be happy to replace Gus with someone like Luke Fickell (assuming he is going to hire experienced southern recruiters). I’m not sure I want to take that shot if it means Fickell or whoever has to work out or we are out of cash and screwed for a while (like I suspect FSU is)

I don't think he was meaning that as a purely Gus thing, more of an indictment of Auburn's mentality in general.

Mentality will not fix that. It is not a easy thing to do and whatever you and I think, will not change the game played on they field.

Well that is blatantly not true. Otherwise, there is no point in having standards and holding people accountable to those standards.

It's not easy. It makes it even more difficult when your program is largely okay with being mediocre.

If Gus has a very good OL, he is a 9 win coach. Good OL + transfer QB = 10+ win

At FSU in the ACC? I could see Gus being a 10+ win coach every year.

Fair, but I don't believe Gus is capable of fielding a good OL consistently. I don't think he has a good eye for OL talent overall and has poor roster management.

Probably. ACC is terrible. He was a 9 win coach in CUSA for his one season. I think he can be a 9-10 win coach in the ACC with where that conference is right now.

Remember, Gus entered the league the same year as Bret Bielema (Arkansas) and Butch Jones (Tennessee). Everyone thought that Arkie and UT made better hires than Auburn. How are those programs doing? Again I want Gus gone, but these things must be done delicately, we need an Arkie or FSU to pull him away.

Okay? I'm not sure how that has any bearing on anything i've said.

You know how I know you take yourself and life too seriously?

You think you can change Auburn football on a message board.

I bet when Gus gets fired you will feel your work here made that happen. Just like your work here helped get Gatewood get the starting QB Sp...oh wait... ummmmmm

Don't give a shite what you think. Fans drive the program. That is a fact.
