You must not have paid attention this past season. Because we absolutely didnt run on 1st at that rate this past season. Prior to 2019 you would be absolutely correct. 2019 that changed.

It doesnt matter if its true or not. Its just a fun thing to say and it gets another stab at teh head coach.

Just look at my sig line. It is there and it is the way things go these days

You tell me if there is a major talent difference?

I see it.

That is why we have to hope for better efficiency on offense. We have stability in coaches and scheme and recruiting on defense.

I realize what you mean on having a coach like Gus. There are many positives as you mentioned, and unknowns if we go get someone else. But he gives us a chance(well at least up until the GA game, and now it will be the LSU game :)).

Just hoping that with Morris and a new OL coach, we can show enough improvement in the offense that we can have a better chance of winning those games Gus has struggled w/ in the SEC.

A2Eugene is one of the fairest posters on this board that slaps at inaccuracies for the sake of having a honest conversation without the exaggerated vendetta stuff. He is definitely not a Gus pumper either. Enjoy it when he’s on your side.

Totally agree. And you probably should read back and see the trail of posts. It wasnt made to him.

Or just get off my arse. That would be even better.

Don’t know what “it” is but your last post directly quoted and responded to him as though y’all were in agreement.

I clearly stated this way all my own opinion but yes I do. Say around 800 for Seth is nearly 1k alone. Eli and Hill will get around 500 at least if Morris comes in and runs the offense like I think he can do that’s around 2k then factor in the RBs I figure all of them together will be 800-1k that’s putting Bo around 3k yards then the rest is the TEs and other receivers that could possibly step up.
As for what I said about Seth yes I think he’ll be a top receiver I never said he’d be “the” top receiver. And the Dline can be just as good simply because they are deeper. Of course Derrick and Marlon were game changers but they also played the majority of the snaps, now with them gone plus incoming players the Dline will be back to a healthy 8-10 man rotation. Georgia showed last year you don’t need a superstar stud to be and elite Dline and I think that’s what our line will be this year.

Thanks for the info! I didn’t know Hill was know to ever play corner but i just placed him there simply from what I think will shake out from here between opening day. I think he’ll head into fall camp with the starting role at the 4th receiver position behind Seth, Eli, and Anthony

Capers would be the guy I would pick if I had to guess who’d be the most productive. But like I said all of the guys have potential and I think Canion is underrated.

I think Domio knows what’s at stake here. My cousin goes to the same juco as him and they play football together he actually said Marco planned on leaving in December but grade problems came about but now he’s back on track just has to improve one class grade from now to graduation.

I also didn’t know much about Osborne I did notice he has a mean streak watching his highlights but with all the uncertainty and a new coach coming in I guess your right he can possibly win a starting job.

I will say again and this is probably more recruiting related but we may have some 4 star WRs but our quality in the WR group isn't close to the level of UGA, UF, LSU and Bammer. It is a group that needs attention as much as the OL. It's crazy how much more comfortable a QB can be when he knows 1 or 2 of his guys can get open on almost every play even if it's a small opening.

I'm also with whoever mentioned the defensive backs this upcoming year. If Smoke or Sherwood were to go down for any amount of time we are in serious trouble.

If literally any team in America loses a starting safety, they are in trouble.

I think we would have been just fine with Sherwood or Smoke if Dinson or Thomas would have gone down for a game or 2 last year. In fact I think Sherwood should have replaced Thomas anyway.

This makes absolutely no sense. If you want to bellyache bitch at me that’s fine at least have a reason that is correct. You know just as well as everyone else when I bring over info I don’t act or say it’s my info. I make it clear it comes from someone else. Next time you want to bitch or bellyache at me make it be a legit real reason. Regardless I’m tired of your Constant over the top shots at me and I’m completely fricking done with your shite.

I can sum up the entire 2020 season regardless of roster...I have lost confidence in Gus, period. I think Steele is doing his job but I can’t help but think the defensive production is going to be down. In short, 8-4.

I mean see what you are saying...I get it... And maybe by game 5 I will agree with you.

I am in the thought that Chad didnt come here to hold a clipboard. He needed to rehab his image after the Arkansas debacle and Gus needs a serious infusion on the offensive side of the ball. We have around as good (on paper) talent as the early Clemson teams when Chad was OC there... So the potential is there to destroy our previous passing records... Every single year Morris was OC at Clemson their QB passed for more yards than we have EVER passed for... Every single season he was their OC they had a 1000 yard WR... Every season but 1 he had a 1000 yard RB with backups gaining significant yards...

But the problems standing in the way are our history and our head coach. History can easily be overtaken. LSU showed that last season. Gus has set a number of offensive records when he was OC and more early in his career as HC than later. The question is Gus. Will Gus step back and let Morris actually run the offense he wants fo run? We have never had an OC in the same stratosphere as Morris under Gus. Lashlee and Dilly Dilly were both new coaches. Dilly Dilly was only a couple years removed from being a GA when we hired him as OC. Lindsey only had one season of P5 work when we hired him. Morris is in a whole other category when it comes to being an OC. Some people are better coordinators than head guys. That isnt a knock on their speciality. Chad was once the highest paid OC in the entire country. The whole thing comes down to Gus. Will Gus let Morris do his thing?

I think he will.

And it will be easy to tell. All we have to do is watch at least the attempts to the TEs. If the TEs are a staple of the offense early on, Chad has control. If the TEs dont produce early then it could drop off. But if the TEs continue to be ignored all season, it isnt a Chad Morris offense.

So lets have this discussion a few weeks into the season. It certainly COULD happen and you and Tajh Boyd could be right.

Its entirely on the choice Gus makes.

FWIW per JHead on the bunker about an hour ago Matthew Hill has been moved to Safety. The position, Clemson among other teams, wanted him for out of HS.

Like I said Safety is one of my biggest question marks as far as depth. However, I thought Hill was probably one of our better WRs as far as the small things like you know catching the ball and stuff

Based on what? The dude hasn’t produced much since he’s been at Auburn. Might as well give another position a shot while he still has time. I wish T Reed would have pulled the trigger a year earlier like hill is doing.
