Tre has just made the typical progression we've seen time and time again for the history of college sports. He made a large jump between his freshman and sophomore year, and did the same again this season.
He's still not elite and I don't think someone you really build your scout around.

Our bigs cancel their bigs. Battle of the guards. I like ours better than theirs by a mile.

Broome keeps playing soft and can’t score more than 6 points we will lose the game.
Broome fouled Wolf out last year if I make no mistake. Wolf is nowhere near the defender Kalkbrenner is. Him & Chaney should be able to give that guy work.
The best thing about us is we can play inside and outside. And guards run March. Our guards are better. My goal would be to get shots for Miles and Chad early.

Who do you think they will put on defending Trey? I think Denver would be able to lock him down. Thoughts?

Have there been any injury updates? CBM’s hip okay?

I think they will put Denver or Kelly on him. Should be able to contain him in 1 on 1 situation for sure but they get him involved in some ball screens.

Broome has pretty much lost the POTY but he still needs to get off his arse and ball out against those two Michigan bigs.

Idgaf what he does as long as we win and he gives 100% effort like he did last game

Tourney basketball is a guards game. I love Tre with all my being but he would be 5th in our perimeter rotation. Keep him out of the lane and they are going to struggle keeping up

I agree. I think once the season is over it will come out how he has played injured a majority of the season

Tre would be the best point guard on our team

Definitely Denver. And Miles & Chad some too.

FIFY since both Denver & Tahaad are combo guard...

Technically JP is still on the roster but yeah, point taken

Do we Play under screens with Tre?
Put size on him in a switch?
Don’t let him lob it?
Make him shoot?
He's a decent three point shooter.

Just play him straight up, keep him out the lane.
I mean he's playing well, but he's not Kyrie Irving

So does that mean play under the screens and get in front of drive?
Or switch and big stay in front of him?
Either?
Some of both?

Least dynamic PG maybe. If you want a PG that can drive to the bucket in half court sets or break down the defense he isnt ypur guy. Denver cant but at least he can shoot.

Tre has 11.5 points and 4.2 assists per game.
That would not change our team in a positive way.
I agree we don’t have a traditional true point guard but Tre is not one either.
Here is an example of a point guard:
Shariffe Cooper averaged over 20 pts and 8 assists as a freshman.
