Just watched his presser from yesterday. Seems like he inadvertently turned over a few cards. He sounds and looks like a deer in headlights. He does not have a confidence about him.

5 games and an off-week into the season and we’re just now figuring out the SEC is a faster game than the AAC.

I mean...maybe he has a short term memory...but he was at Iowa State for 7 years, so its not like he has only coached G5.

highlighted by the 2025 team that finished the regular season ranked second in the country in total offense (501.7) and fourth in scoring offense (43.0). - ugh.

"Gordon arrived at USF after seven seasons at Iowa State, where he began as an offensive analyst in 2016 and passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2019-22. Also overlapping with Golesh for a period of time at Iowa State (2016-19), Gordon helped transform ISU into a program with five straight bowl appearances, a Big 12 title-game berth, and a New Year’s Six bowl win.

His tenure at Iowa State coincided with the most productive offensive stretch in Cyclone history. Working closely with quarterback Brock Purdy, Gordon helped develop the future NFL starter into ISU’s all-time wins and passing leader. Under his guidance, Iowa State posted record-setting total offense, scoring, and efficiency marks from 2019–21."

That’s the sort of press conference performance that led to Saban’s policy of not letting assistants speak to the media.

We can nitpick everything. But until we can compete on the line of scrimmage both offensively and defensively no scheme or play call is gonna consistently work.

I thought some of the pick ups and transfers would work out but they haven’t. It is what it is.

I’m hoping the talent evaluation is higher in this high school class and the transfer portal additions are more prepared for SEC play.

We finally agree on something. Lines should be the focus moving forward.

Awful play caller. G5 level talent. We attract G5 level talent, we get G5 level results.

This is what makes me PO’d about our Coordinators when they come to Auburn. Everyone produces great numbers then falls flat here.

Didn’t the OC reunite with Nix at Oregon and was very successful.

I understand the Oline hasn’t been the best, but they have given time for the QB to make things happen.

I mean, that was Dillngham, and he was only here one year in 2019 under Gus (and we had the 28th best scoring offense in the country that year). That was not only Nix's true freshman year, we all know that Gus was the real OC for all his teams. Dillngham went to FSU after one year to be a real OC until he joined Oregon for a year and then became head coach at ASU.

And the offenses at Iowa State when Gordon was there went 39th, 32nd, and 43rd in the country in scoring, they weren't exactly blowing the doors off even with Purdy. Obviously that's much better than the incompetence we are seeing now though.

He ain’t the only one with that deer in headlights look on our sidelines. Comrade Golesh is right there with him.
