I haven't seen anything to suggest that we are "more conditioned". I was weary when he immediately hired Jeff Pitman as S&C coach considering that his methods are pretty archaic. We don't seem any meaner or tough and if anything we get pushed around.

Fun fact: there is a long-standing rumor that we run a full-pad practice on Fridays under Harsin (this is not typical).

OL and LB are in bad spots. We can blame Gus for part of that. LB who do we blame? Many here think T-Will is the best recruiter we have ever had. His guys make up the starting linebacker core.

We have 40 plus 4 star players. Over 50% of our roster. We have now with the walkon scholarship players I think 82 scholly players. Outside of no young depth at OL how is our roster so deplorable? Now yes after this year the roster will be in a bad spot. But that is on Harsin recruiting not sighing enough players.

Harsin gambled on himself that the OL was good enough to win and didn’t raid the portal. Friend discussed in the summer how much the OL had gotten bigger and stronger and how much improved they were from being in the system a year.

Harsin is to blame for our current roster. He has had enough time to bandaid any issues. IF he is fired, he only has himself to blame.

Deplorable! We are thin across the board and don’t have many players that any top school would want. TWills last few classes missed on all his top players to Clemson & UGA.

O side - lack of QB experience or talent, lack of WR experience and top end talent, OL is on injuries depth and talent. D side - lack of depth all over but specifically on d-line, LB starter talent and overall depth.

We can have a mill 4 star but r they good fits, physically ready to take the step or potentially overrated?

Oh so we are like every other team. We have experienced and inexperienced players. As I’ve been saying regardless of experience you can’t have your starting DL play 60 snaps. About 40 is all they can give you. You have to mix in others.

Examples Bragg and Morris Joseph. Never saw them until some injuries and not saying they should be getting starter snaps but you mix them in when you can. I remember when Steele and Coach G and company where around about the third series of the game unless the offense was on the +50 side there would be multiple “backups” in until they got around the 40 then the “starters” would come back in. Coach G would rotate 10-12 players every game on the DL.

Outside of that there is no way to convince me that we have 40 something 4 star players that was just over ranked. Even most of our 3 star guys were right on the 4 star line. We have on a talent composite the 17th most talented roster.

I’m 100% certain that’s an idle threat and you will never withhold a dime from Tigers Unlimited. You might legitimately withhold it from academic donations, but not athletics. Like… I know for a fact your not gonna withhold one damn dime from TU and they know it.

The day before a game should be dinner and a movie, film study if anything. We should not have any practice of any kind that day.

It doesn't take any "insider" information to say that we're waiting to hire an AD.

Why is the AD hire taking so long? Major corporations don’t wait months to make a major hire, they’re ahead of it. This should’ve been done weeks ago.

I’ve had this argument before, but the only way us plebs can make our voice known is with our dollars and support. Call and tell them you are stopping any donations. Don’t go to the games.

Been doing this for years. The program drove me to apathy. But I’m just one person.

We may disagree on coaching candidates but this is a great point I hadn’t considered. My only logical argument would be they are waiting to fire Harsin before officially hiring the new AD so they can start with a clean slate? Maybe? I still think you’re right though. This needs to be announced soon.

When you allow incompetent people run multi million dollar organizations things typically go to crap…. We need hires made based on past performance not potential. As I’ve said dozens of times, AU isn’t the place for in the job training. Saban is slipping just like Joe pa and Bowden due to his age. We should have been in a position to capitalize but now are looking at UM and UTK with undefeated records and in prime recruiting position while we are sitting next to Vandy arguing amongst ourselves about who to blame. It’s time for AU to collectively get its act together football wise or focus on basketball/baseball exclusively; 1/2 efforts do not equate premium pricing and as an alumnus I demand more before my $ props up a garbage product produced by mediocre management and coaching.

If it's not today or tomorrow, we're riding thru December for $ reasons.

A few factors maybe involved:

1. Money? Not a lot of difference
2. No New AD hasn't been hired to kick off a new search
3. New portal transfer rules are in effect for mid-season fires.

Really?

Special teams gaffes lost the game.

He’s still getting elite talent.
A “down” year is 11-2.

That would be our decade best most decades.
1957: 10-0
1964: 9-2
1972:10-1
1983: 11-1
1993: 11-0
2004: 13-0
2010: 14-0
2013: 12-2

It’s embarrassing. I guess Bruce Pearl and Butch Thompson are just running wild not clocking in, with no one to report to.

This university has got to change at the top. They are the problem.

Lack of discipline, penalties, weak defense…. Butch and Bruce have been around the Block and do not require hand holding… AG didn’t hire either if I recollect… the only thing AG did right was go to bat for keeping Bruce. Leath almost destroyed that program in his short tenure.

I thought the ax would fall after a loss to ole sis with the bye week and not let his firing be the new AD's problem.

Looks like firing the current coach is the new AD's first task after all.
