Do you guys watch the NFL?... not everybody is a superstar. If you stay healthy and play special teams, you can hang around.... will herring is another example of being average but consistent

He also came in as an UDFA and has managed to stick around for 7 years. You don’t do that by just being an average player. The average NFL career is 3 years.

I don't know what's so difficult to get about this.

If you consistently find yourself on 53 man rosters, you're a badass.

Guys, guys. Let's just appreciate Bates/Powers opinion on this and stop arguing about their NFL career.

Schwartz is fast bu he’s never shown me anything to prove he has NFL WR skills. I was pleasantly surprised by Cannion today.

Flash’s fall from grace occurred so suddenly. He turned heel real quick.

Good luck to him elsewhere.

In a normal system.

But missing one or two parts when so few are used it really hurts in a Gus system. And may have really shown in the timing routes.

Good luck to him & I hope he makes it on a roster, gets his 2 catches for 17 yds in a preseason game. But I hope he isn't allowed back in the football facility again. No pro-day, no workouts. You quit to look out for yourself, right? Auburn has to look out for itself too and quitters aren't welcome.

He should be welcomed as long as he wants unless he transfers to another school. I for one really enjoyed watching him play and thank him for his time here. Big deal. He didn’t play in the citrus bowl because he’s going to the try the nfl. He played in the regular season and always seemed to play hard as well. Is he obviously a little bit of a prima donna? Sure. But he put a shite ton of work to play football at auburn. So again, unless he transfers, War Eagle Flash.

Flash my arse. He may have some top end speed but that about it. He doesn’t know how or has been coached on how to run routes. There is a difference between being fast and quick. D. Smith at UAT is quick and knows and has been well coached to use his quickness to get open. Flash just runs like a fly route and hopes for the best.

I think Canion, Capers, and Hudson will all be very good WR.

Some of y’all take this waaaaay too serious. Wish him well and hopefully he represents Auburn positively in the league as that can only help our program down the road.

All he did was opt of a bowl game and I assume he’s going pro.

Kinda sad the fanbase turns on him for that. I don’t agree with the decision but it’s his decision to make.

Yup. It's such baby-back bitch type shite. Ban him from Pro Day? Why - so everyone else on the roster trying to get a shot in the NFL can get less looks (newsflash: teams will be sending personnel to Auburn to get looks at him, which creates exposure for the rest of our draft eligible players - many of which are fringe guys who are looking for any opportunity to impress)? All because he opted out of the opportunity to play for Kevin Steele's goofy-arse in a Bowl game wherein all of those coaches were likely too busy trying to secure a job for next season to actually prepare a decent gameplan?

He needs to be supported because it benefits Auburn to do so. Who knows what happens down the line - many of these guys who fail end up coaching in highschool or elsewhere wherein they can influence recruiting. Schwartz in particular has elite genetics - maybe he ends up having a few sons who end up being elite recruits? You're not benefitting in any way by being a petty-bitch, especially over something so trivial as a player "quitting" this mess to enter the draft, whether you think he's ready or not.

I’m getting Tim Carter vibes from Schwartz this year.
