We’re all just pressing for success in Auburn. Not everyone will agree.

So happy for Malik. Dude deserves this. I am so happy he found a great fit for his skill.
He is a great guy. Hope they go undefeated.

Just because we haven't had a great coach doesn't mean one couldn't win here. You saying Bellichick couldn't win here kinda discredits your opinion though tbh unless you were trolling

Matt Campbell, Luke Fickell, Chris Klieman, and PJ Fleck are my tops

We don't need to argue because you lost any hypothetical argument with your Bellichick comment

Not saying I want him. But I was surprised how Greg S has Rutgers playing out the gate. UT may have made a mistake.

Overall though I was disappointed that Lane managed the game so poorly. I agree with Skyler’s post that he is not ready.
Why are you disappointed with Lane? IS he on your short list for us? Lord, I hope not.
I just don't see him as stabilizing force for a program that might make a change. Offensive mind is one of the best, but his track record as a HC is just not top notch.

Yea former Michigan State/Toledo head coach Nick Saban really struggled at LSU
You have bad takes
Edit: Also Urban Meyer at Florida, James Franklin at Vandy, etc

They start throwing names out there but in all honestly, it’s anyone but Gus.
It is so similar to our political world. People hate Donald Trump so bad, they would actually vote for Joe Biden. Let that sink in.

Nah i named four young coaches who are successful in their situations. I even said no to Lane. Nice try though.

Your independent variable is not what I was arguing hoss. I was arguing specifically about AU.

Gotta keep my options open. Lane Train didn’t have a great audition, but he’s got more years to mature and then he may become a great coach. I’m not going to completely write him off... I’ve probably made 4 or 5 so posts regarding who I’d like if you want to take a gander at my post history. Hint: one recently whooped us in the bowl game. Napier is a popular name. Cristobal. I’m just a spectator baw.
Do you have a short list or is Gus your stabilizing force?

Its not independent. There have been plenty of cases.
I mean whens the last time Auburn made a hire outside the south? Yall have convinced yourselves Auburn has to literally stay the way it has forever. Our fanbases mindset is the single biggest issue with the program.

Tell me about Clemson’s history pre-Dabo.

Ha. no, Gus is not my stabilizing force. But if he could figure out that 1 area that seems to be his Achilles is our offense(figure that one out) he would have our program knocking at playoffs and SECC more often.
I like Napier, Cristobal(probably my #1), and FLeck too. But Kiffin is in my second tier, if we can't get a more solid all round guy.

Everyone keeps forgetting about the buyout for Gus. That’s an obstacle. This needs to be figured out before any names are thrown out there.

It'd work better if the metaphor had Gus as Joe. You know decent human beings but not great at the job.
