LULZ

Dude called a terrible game. Went into a shell, bad time management and poor use of timeouts

No thank you. Bring him in as OC.
Let’s look at someone else.

The fact that OM managed to keep that game close given the roster on game day is a miracle in itself. Auburn had a sizable talent gap and still only won because the refs missed the call on Shaun Shivers.

I disagree. I feel like he uses all of his talent and tries to win.

That has nothing to do with his decision making.

He makes bad decisions. There may be a reason he has not been successful in a major program.

Let’s keep looking.

Lane is a no for me too but I'm not gonna judge him too hard yet because he's in a weird situation taking over a bottom feeder while dealing with covid. But I do not think he's ready for Auburn yet. Maybe in 2-3 years.

In his 5th game there they probably should have won still with a team that’s got much less talent at this point.

This game was one of his better ones. Which alone might disqualify him in my eyes He might be better than Gus but I think he’s just above average. I’d rather gamble on others

Yeah, I don’t get the Lane love either.

That was a very winnable game for them, and he mismanaged it pretty badly. Still don’t understand why he didn’t challenge the KO return, even if it wouldn’t have changed the outcome. And the fake FG call was as bad as Kirby’s in the SECCG.

He’s not coming to AU in any case.

The refs reviewed it.

Do we really? Where exactly are we more talented than OM?

Considering they had offensive players playing defense today and a very limited roster due to Covid-19 and injuries...yes?

Theoretically everywhere. Our players just don't play up to their rankings. Remember, our QB was a five star

Considering the talent gap and what they were missing due to COVID and injuries, he coached a great game.

Don't let Gus barely beating a far less talented team cloud your judgement of Lane's greatness.

You look ignorant...

This thread is about coaching. Not players

Dude made some bad decisions. Bad coaching decisions. His players were competing.

Probably every where? We rank top 11ish. They rank top 32ish in recruiting every year.

I saw basically a juco squad on defense. Their RB is elite. But I already knew he would be.

Lane hasn't proven greatness yet. I want Gus fired more than anyone but lets not give Lane credit he hasn't earned yet. I believe he will be a good coach someday but he hasnt earned that recognition yet
