I am not saying Lane is first choice. But OP is an idiot if he thinks Lane is a bad coach from this game.

This thread is about coaching. Not players
You don’t think coaching is different given the circumstances of what’s going on with said players?

Wasting time outs? Fake field goals that were clearly makeable? Come on man. That has nothing to do with players. That is poor game management.

So he is the guy you want to spend 30 mil to get?

But Gus is a bad coach from 8 years of historical good performance? I'd like to be the '71 Dolphins each year but we're not, and will never be that. Belichick would win eight games on average at AU.

I’d be more willing to give him a chance than to continue the mediocrity of Gus Malzahn, yes.

The analytics shite the announcers talked about seems too much like moneyball and that weirds me out.

Overall though I was disappointed that Lane managed the game so poorly. I agree with Skyler’s post that he is not ready.

Will Pinebox him later.

That's what Gus and Chizik average. So I'm assuming you think that Bellichick is of equal skill to them?

This is probably the single most jaw dropping post i have seen on this site

I think that's your issue and I don't feel the need to clarify.

Check entire coaching AU football history.

We're Michigan, not Alabama or Notre Dame and will never will be.

I don't understand the love for Kiffin. He's a funny guy, sure, but I don't want him anywhere near our athletic department.

Just because we haven't had a great coach doesn't mean one couldn't win here. You saying Bellichick couldn't win here kinda discredits your opinion though tbh unless you were trolling

Clearly showing why decisions are made by the people in the know. It’s about ROI. You don’t get rid of one guy fir 30 mil to pay another guy to do the same job who can’t do it. Lane hasn’t done shite yet but some of you touting him to be hired and pay the buyout.

He would not even be a choice if there was no buyout. He is unproven and has left both the major programs he coached at in flames.

You guys are emotional. You make decisions on them. You get upset and start throwing shite out there

Not you in general TT. You are one of my favs here. Lane is a total no go for me.
