This.
Was.
Glorious.

Bama got broken tonight. Not just a loss but a non-competitive loss.

That can only be a good thing.

That worked out perfectly. Bama puts bowl cut out of playoffs then gets murdered by Clemson. Best case scenario, IMO.

It was everything I wanted a lot more. It's been a while since we've seen them get routed like that.

I said a while ago that Tua had some holes in his passing game, and Clemson was finally able to take advantage of them last night.

The Bama team folded like a cheap tent after the first half.

Auburn bowl wins this season: 1

Auburn National Championships this season: 0
Alabama National Championships this season: 0

It is what it is.

My favorite part was Nick's Kirby-esque fake FG panic move.

Like father, like son.

No construction or traffic on 459 this AM.

No one at the gym but me. No lines, no waiting.

Had the hot tub to myself.

Locker room banter wasn't the usual talk of who's the greatest ever (Tua at QB or Saban at HC). Actually heard a Bama fan mention something about basketball?!?!!?

Office eerily quiet. No more Tua for Heisman or 2019 National Champs signatures in Skype or Outlook.

This is shaping up to be a good day.

Tua is a pretty darned good QB.

He's nowhere near as good a QB as the one they've been worshiping up on that pedestal that they've built.

The best part was Clemson putting in the backups and mercy kneeing Bama

This is the good part. The game was so lopsided, it's not even worth talking about by Bama fans. If they lost a close one, they would be talking about how they lost, and what a good game it was. But the blowout that happened last night causes people to take flags off their cars and stop mentioning Bama for 6 months.

The only way that game could have ended and still be happy about it.

I wonder to what degree the loss can be attributed to a team that just hasn’t had to play from a deficit all year. That sort of emotional/psychological position is much different than always being ahead by multiple touchdowns in every game. Some teams can handle it, some teams can’t, but regardless it seems like something you’d want a team to deal with at least once before the championship game. And Bama really hadn’t.
