I think Thorne will start, but Geriner, with these new receivers will get a lot of time

I just think their skill set will vastly improve the performance of a QB who has a great arm and it will be evident in spring, well for the two that will be here. And then in the fall practice when all five arrive

I’m fine with the backup QB getting some snaps in blowouts but I hope the days of QB rotation are over.

I don’t want to see any backup QB getting possessions when the game result is unsettled.

My only concern with Holden is how well can he run RPO's? You've got to be a run threat to make it work.

Unless there are massive early season failures, there should only be one QB.

With Uber talented receivers, will there be more traditional pass plays rather than RPO

The thing I want to see is when the game is in hand and QB2 is in he gets to throw the ball. The hell with this hand the ball off 3 time and punt.

I’d like to see the NM state qb who is now in the portal brought to compete.

Over 3200 yards passing walked out the door.

Following that stat ….one receiver threw for 21 yards on a trick play.

One running back ran for 600 plus yards.

If Thorne has a decent day…Geriner holds the clipboard.

This is not Gus….these guys want the seventh win.

That was my point. WTF is the QB trying to run the ball when you have all pro receivers busting wide open down the field. This obsession with RPO is just that an obsession with some on this board.

We have to have a QB after this fall, you bettin all the marbles on Walker White with his passing percentage. Oh that is just mechanics and can be improved.....Ashford says hey.

My point is, you better actually have a backup QB prepared this season.

Do we need to have the RPO vs zone read?

RPO is run pass scheme. Read the outside backer if he comes forward you pull and throw behind him if he drops or stays stationary the QB leaves the ball with the running back.

Zone read is a reading a defender either to hand the ball to the back or QB run.

No more rotations. Win/lose with one or the other but not both.

Except we can. We have stud receivers on the way.

Holden is getting a lot of time because Thorne has been sick all but the last Auburn practice prior to leaving for Nashville.

Most of the team has dealt with a bug.

Which Wide Receivers will be here for the spring? I saw Bryce Cain was already practicing, so I assume he will be an early enrollee.

I'm sure this info is in the recruiting thread but I'm not going to scan through all that.

This a pre-pre-season call for the back up to be the starter?
