Some of my friends are very close to the Alabama program. They told me that the loose rumor is regarding health is Mrs. Terry might have early onset Alzheimer’s.

I pray that’s not true..

That is certainly being said by friends of Alabama. Probable early onset based on their age. If this is true, I give Saban even more respect.

Definitely hope that is not true. Watched 2 of my grandparents go through it.

Dementia Alzheimer’s is awful. Had a great uncle go through it and it’s hard to watch.

My parents, uncle and FIL went through a form of Dementia bad thing to suffer through. Really tough to care for them at times. If she is going through it. Respect for Saban for retiring and taking care of her.

Saw someone posted that on the Bama board on here. I too hope that's not true.

But, that would make some sense considering that this decision seems to have been made prior to the IB and potentially a good bit more before that.

On top of the incredible sadness for the Saban family, which is the most important thing, how sad would it be to have two of the SEC GOATs in their respective sports have their time cut short due to the same horrible disease - first Pat Summit and now the Sabans.

Both parents, scares the shite out of me. If true I give him prop's for his priorities and wish him luck on the long road ahead. Wouldn't wish it for anyone.

Still glad to see him go, just hope it was for other reasons, than family health beyond mere infirmity.

I hope neither are sick in anyway. And on a human level it makes me very sad.

But this weird appreciation of Saban from us especially is weird as hell. Yes I respect the game he ran but the disrespect toward Auburn is unforgivable as far as a coach. He’s the one that started the “school across the state” stuff

I hate to hear that. Prayers for Terry & the Saban family.

My mother suffered from dementia for nearly 10 years before she passed away from breast cancer. Gut wrenching experience for all involved. Two of her 6 sisters had it as well so I'm sure between myself and my 3 siblings, one of us will have to deal with it.

Saban is the one that started the whole not saying Auburns name. Yes I know Bear once said behind closed doors about beating the cow college.

meh..

always respected the man as a coach..(doesn't mean i cared for his personality) i love the game of football & would enjoy the chance to talk shop with the guy and try to absorb/grasp some of his knowledge.

the dementia thing hits close to home for me & i have zero problem with well wishes for him or his wife.

im prolly mistaken, but i thought the whole "other school" thing started with bryant??

it's been glorious to watch them melt..

jus sayin i don't see anything wrong with well wishes for the saban family if this is health related.

Oh so when players could not transfer it was all cool to “process” kids… that’s what good people do huh.

I’m not wishing voodoo on the man just won’t miss him and don’t respect him. The game was rigged for him he won. Congrats. Glad he’s gone. Hope for reasons other than anyone being sick.

Other then that frick that dude
