I don't know if they were rushed for time with the delay but couldn't have been worse Saturday

I was happy that he dropped the stupid "WEGL, WEGL, War Eagle!" cheer. Sorry, that's never been a cheer and I ain't starting any new BS cheers.

Yeah that one is weird. I don’t mind the mic man on the field pre-game but at least do the good cheers. Orange and Blue alternating sides has always been loud. Bodda Getta and Track ‘em are alright. Two Bits has never been a favorite of mine, but I think it is probably one of the oldest cheers.

I wasn’t there for this game, so no idea what was done.

Mostly same as last year. Start with a War Eagle, then Bodda Getta, then either the mic man just doing T-I--G-E--R-S on repeat or let's go big blue, let's go. Can't remember. Then Trek'em followed by whichever of those two he didn't do after bodda getta, then Two Bits, then a war eagle with the honorary mic man.

I don't either, there was a time it was done well and got the stadium very loud. I just hate how they do it now. It is just 90% him on the mic doing crap. The ones where they divide the stadium are awlays really loud. Do those and shut up and let the stadium be loud. Throw in the main cheers, though trek 'em and two bits I think are past their prime. Do a big War Eagle and move on. As it is now, it is just listening to the mic man over the loud speakers.

pre-game cheerleader mic man routine

I brought two USM buddies with me on Saturday - first game at Auburn for both.

During the pre-game mic man routine - each of them told me " I have no idea what that dude is saying"...it did make me chuckle

Not sure if anything changed before '97, but we didn't even get individual game tickets - it was just one card for the whole season that got punched out for the game in question. God forbid I ever lost that card.

My freshman year was '95 and we had individual tickets for each game. They came on a sheet and you tore them off one-by-one. Narrow suckers, if I recall.
