I could care less about that part. It's the mountain of religious hypocrisy that bothers me.

In general in most marriages and the majority of Christian Institutions.

He had plenty of resources at Ole Miss to contend for champions. His recruiting was amazing.
So your argument is that Huge Freeze underperformed because he didnt win a championship

Wish Auburn had that kind of expectations. Gus Malzahn has underperformed his entire career if thats the case

Religious hypocrisy? What the hell does that even mean. Spreading the good word but not practicing it?

Cant speak for the collective, but I think we should contend for championships. We have to recruit better first though.

I’m just saying Freeze had talent to do better. He was at Ole Miss and obviously they were blessed to have him, but his losing record to Gus and overall accomplishment wasn’t that great. If there were no character concerns, I’d be less concerned but you know, that shite has to be weighed too.

So you think Freeze should have won a Championship at Ole Miss. Got it.

He could beat Bama twice in a row and win the Sugar Bowl. Why can’t he win conference championships? Those accomplishments were effectively erased because he was a scumbag though. Not sure why you would want that.

I get that you want Gus gone, but you don’t have to go to extreme measures to satisfy your need for a satisfactory football coach.

If we’re firing Gus (which I’m happy with), I want zero high school coaches with zero connections to Gus and Auburn.

Freeze does not make me mad.
He’d be in the upper half of my wish list but I’d be disappointed if that’s the best we could do

After reading this again, I think this is about what I said on Gus.

I’d be very concerned to have Hugh Freeze. We love Bruce because he wins but we also have to deal with the other shite, too. A lot of the trouble that Bruce finds is circumstantial (Person), but the NCAA rightfully so has their eye on him. Freeze would be the same way and to be honest I trust Pearl’s moral compass more. And that says a lot given Pearl’s reputation to the outsider.

Some of Bruce's issues is he is viewed as a rat from the Midwestern media. But I get your point.

In 2014 all he had to do was beat AU (and Gus) at home and either Les Miles’ weakest LSU team or an Arky team that had won 3 of their previous 20 SEC games, they would have won the West outright.

In 2015 all they had to do was beat Arky, and we wll remember how that turned out:

Just win baby win. Hey, whats trooper doing these days?

We can put the band back together.

You hire Pearl for the basketball program. Everyone has a close eye on him due to his past. A few years go by, Bam. Basketball is on probation. Then you step up to the plate and hire a football coach who has no real history of winning but he does have a history of putting a D1, SEC program on probation just a few years ago.

I mean, you really cant make that shite up

Who could we realistically get, that is better? You want a proven HC, or an up-and-comer, a la the Tennessee model?

True. I have relatives in IN. As you are probably aware, college basketball is to them, as college football is to us. They don't think much of Bruce as a person. I think they are wrong, but that's the overall perception by people who focus far more on basketball, than any other sport.

You DO remember what happened at the end of that game, right?

AU also was a top 5 team...

Go get Luke Fickel. It’s probably setting in that if he can’t get in the playoffs with that Cincy team in a COVID year, he’s gotta strike for a P5 school while he’s hot.
