Lying about BBQs and paying players is one thing, but wearing your religion on your sleeve while banging hookers behind closed doors is another. Like others have said, there are bigger things than football. To hell with that guy.

I’m pretty much with brannigan on this one. I would’ve preferred him as OC over Morris though. The SEC nixed that.

Apparently, there are a few here that do not believe in redemption, or learning from mistakes.

I may be wrong, but I believe he hired escorts for RECRUITS, not for his self.

You and I both know players got paid at Alabama. Trent Richardson is the biggest name that comes to mind. At the end of the day, both are impermissible "benefits". The only difference is what was bought with the money.

Yeah but he hid behind the Christianity cloak until busted and then kept it up. That’s not cool.

THAT is my biggest issue with him. If you are going to be slimy, be slimy. And if you want to be religious like him then live that way all the time, not just for recruits and cameras.

Agreed, that looked very bad, but I have to believe in redemption. Lot's of very good men have been led astray by their ambition. Some learn from this are are better for it. I'm no Falwell fan, but I would think he would have been vetted pretty intensely before being hired at a private, conservative, Christian school

I would’ve liked Freeze at Auburn as OC under Gus. I don’t trust Gus to call the right plays, but I trust his integrity.

Like Brannigan, I think he might’ve under performed as coach at Ole Miss as well. He had Dj Metcalf and Aj Brown and all those players but have next to nothing to show for it.

Well his shining accomplishment is that he defeated Bama two years in a row. If that isn’t a sign that bigger goals are obtainable, I don’t know what is.

There isn't really any evidence the escorts were for recruits. There was evidence while on a recruiting visit he hired escorts using a school phone, correct?

i thought they won a Sugar bowl?

"He guided Ole Miss to back-to-back nine-win regular seasons for the first time since 1962 and four consecutive bowl games for the first time since 1971" - from google

Plus a multitude of first round draft picks, all sec players, top 15 recruiting classes ect

It’s like you’re saying he had a team that could’ve contended for championships.

AT OLE MISS

Give him the resources that Auburn has and he will contend for Championships

eta: its like saying Dan Mullin wouldnt succeed at Auburn bc he didnt contend for championships at mIss St.

Yea. It was never definitively said but reading between the lines of what he said afterward, I think you can reasonably infer they were for himself, not recruits.

Or that's what he said to save his marriage and possibly hold on to his career where a corrupt Christian College might give him a shot. Who knows?

So he paid for some hookers to play with his dick. Is that frowned upon?

He had plenty of resources at Ole Miss to contend for champions. His recruiting was amazing.
