Has anyone else been positive for Covid?

I woke up Monday with a fever and my work had me get tested. Results finally came back today and I was positive.
My fever went up to 102 on Tuesday but it broke by Wednesday. My lower back and legs ached, but I never had a cough, congestion, or any kind of breathing issues. I haven’t taken any medicine since Wednesday and I feel perfectly fine now but I have to sit at home another 9 days.
I’ve had mono and the flu before and I’d much rather have this over those if I would be fortunate enough to have the same symptoms I’ve dealt with this week.

I’ve had three family members get it between my wife’s family and my own, and a few old college friends as well.
Wife’s cousin is an RN and got it from a COVID positive patient back in April. Never had any symptoms whatsoever outside of what could be confused with allergies.
My cousin contracted it presumably at a protest in Atlanta and has also likewise been asymptomatic.
My aunt is currently in the hospital with it and does have double pneumonia. She isn’t having a very fun time with it but expects to recover and we are all praying for her.
Seems like this virus is just bizarre with how so many go through life barely noticing they have it and how others have multiple organ failure. I’ve never noticed a spectrum this wide with symptoms for a virus l guess. Hope your symptoms stay manageable and you recover fully soon.

The only person I know who actually got it, was older, had COPD, emphysema, smoking for many years, and is overweight.
Late June he had sniffles and fever.
June 30th went and got COVID tested at a clinic. Blood pressure was very low so they sent him to the hospital.
July 1 he tested positive.
July 8 he died.
It's ruthless for those that are older or have any kind of serious respiratory issues...and sad...

A buddy of mine had it. He had fever and cough for a few days and tested positive in early June. He has had 2 additional positive tests since recovering. He finally tested negative this week and will be allowed back at work.

I have a couple of very close friends who have it right now. Two are seriously sick. Two said it’s been like the flu for them.
Depends on the person. Glad it’s not bad for you.

I’m thankful I’m young and am lucky with my symptoms. My mother in law has been hospitalized for 3 weeks now.

My youngest was possibly exposed in mid-June so we got tested at the DoH on 6/22. She got her results back by mail (negative) 10 days ago. I’m still waiting

I think day 7-10 is the danger zone

I only know 2 people that have had it, my coworker and his daughter. They tested positive 14 days ago. They are feeling better now and went to get retested today. I was in close proximity to him for almost a week of him having symptoms. I tested negative.

No, and I’ve been around it every day since it “arrived” into the US.
Yes, it is bad for a certain population, but this country is still going overboard on the issue.

There was a time in January where I had a 102 fever and the worst cough of my life.
Was it COVID? Maybe but I don’t also want to be one of those people that think they have something just because they shared two symptoms with a disease.Guess I’ll never know since I’m not paying for an antibody test.
That same period at work multiple people came down with the same thing.

Wife thought she had it as well Weagle around that same time. High fever, cough, no taste or smell, bad respiratory issues. Took her about two weeks to get over it.
Last week she got the antibody test and it came back negative. No antibodies. Hers wasnt Covid it appears

I know 8 people who have had it and all of them are in their 20s and 30s with the exception of 1. Their main complaints were body aches and lack of taste and smell. Fortunate to have not seen any serious cases

I have had 25 people at my work get it. Everyone has had mild symptoms, none hospitalized.
