Currently I’m being lazy. I worked 65-80 hour weeks for the past 18 months or so and it’s wore me down. I don’t have a wife and children and being 2 hours away from family it’s just been too much trying to maintain this work schedule and take care of all the adulting responsibilities.. I took a leave and am gonna work at the golf course until winter. Then decide if I wanna go back to iron working on the road or not

If you’re not familiar with Chris Stapleton, you are in for a treat.
Great musician and puts on a helluva good show.
Wife and I are both huge fans of King George (between us have seen him close to 20 times) and Stapleton too. We drove from Atlanta to NOLA in 2018 to see them perform at the Superdome. Stapleton may have been the better set. Just him, his drummer, bass player, and Dave Cobb (his producer) on guitar. Blew the roof off the place.

Got the ice chest packed full or beer and headed to a fish fry and will be in a pool. Ready for this day, if I’m on here later tonight talking crap it’s the beer talking.

I do home oven, as hot as it goes on a steel.
I want a brick oven outside but I’m not sinking that money and effort until I know we’re not moving again
Super jealous of folks with a nice pizza oven. I may eventually break down and buy a steel one for now

Yeah I don’t have that nice multi pizza brick oven yet. Will do that when we build our retirement home in a couple of years.
I have the Ooni Koda 16. I use it when I do high heat doughs (Neapolitan) and then I use oven with steels for my New York style dough. I used oven for Neapolitan as well and also Jack it to 550. They say you can turn to oven cleaning mode and get to 900 but I don’t plan on trying that one. Lol
My next adventure is doing a Chicago style. I need to get a pan for it.

Not much more I hate than country music. I can listen to some old school stuff like Patsy Cline or Johnny Cash perhaps Alabama.
Ran 9 miles this AM. Took the wife and the store employees lunch. It’s the last weekend before back to school and they are slammed. Did a stability workout and about to trim the hedges before going to the Bham Barons game tonight and dinner/beers.
Wife wants to hit the Cahaba Sunday. See how many she can catch on Lanier’s 1/8oz buzzbait. You get me some painted blades on those? I need to order replenishment spinnerbaits. She will need something to transition to once the buzzbait dies although I’m convinced she’d throw it year round if I didn’t make her change.

MIL is in town so her and the wife are out shopping. The dogs and I are grilling wings and drinking athletic brewing cerveza.
Ordered some new irons and a bag this week. Ready for them to come in.

if you're curious, give this new Kentucky crew of Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers and Sturgill Simpson a listen. Those are 3 of my favorites right now - Jason Isbell is not too shabby, either.

What does this mean?
My wife and I have a 12 year anniversary tomorrow so we are going to Rock N Roll Sushi tonight. Yes, I realize that is only chain sushi.
I introduced her to Sushi in Tuscaloosa in 2009 on our first date but I did it because it was unique, while cheap at the same time....12 married years later, thats our thing however it is no longer cheap anymore.

Wife and I went down to the beach (Perdido Key) this morning for a few hours--it was HOT, came back to the house and did lunch, we hung out in the pool this afternoon, grillin some Boar's Head dogs this evening. Looking forward to hearing more fall camp news and can't wait to get into the szn.

Athletic brewing is a no-alcohol brewery
Basically craft beer without the booze. I had a few during dry January and was relatively impressed with the flavor

Lanier is a cracker. No problem calling me that. I’m not easily offended.
This music is offending so far. Plus it’s an outside concert in Tampa. In August.
The pool would be nice about right now.

Just returned today from a week in cancun. It’s hot as hell here. Bring on fall.
Also, screw 6:00am flights.

I’m jelly.
Wife and I have not been to the Caribbean in 3 years. About to get a trip on the books. Big order about to come in to pay for it.

Got dang, how many spinnerbaits you ordering? Your tackle box must be huge if you're sending Lanier to the Caribbean.

Just back from a day of surfing and old school 360's. This August whitewater in a summer river is too great and too valuable to waste by not going.
