I am paraphrasing it. But he said:
"We see what Chip did at ASU, we see what Rhett is doing at UConn and we see what AU is doing and it looks nothing like those offenses. Every AU fan is convinced that you are calling plays."
Gus's response (paraphrasing):
"I brought Chip in to make us more balanced and I think he's done that. But we're still going to have my philosophy on offense. But Chips is calling the plays."

Just watched the replay of the conference. I'm done with this breakdancing, sweater puppy, visor wearing, incompetent, snake licking dork. The only redeeming value of this guy is he likes Waffle House.

Well Gus might have gotten himself fired in this press conference if not so already. This questions by James are golden. Did he respond at all to the question about Heath wanting his job?

Honestly, I am fine with that. But he needs to be held accountable for his lack of production.

We actually plan on him running 17 straight runs up the middle for 1 yard.
We also plan on every defense knowing this. So it's amazing they even get a yard.

This was his thinking going into the second half.
We were up by 9 at the the time and had just been pummeled as the first half ended.
9 points - he felt like that was enough cushion and the defense (which he clearly has nothing to do with) would just bail him out. This is what the university is paying almost $5,000,000 for every year.

This was his thinking middle of the 2nd quarter and continued on. You could see the change happen in the second quarter. I remember because that is when I started getting nervous and thinking of the other big games he did that in.
It's difficult to capture momentum again especially when the coach is unwilling to make adjustments and admit he made a mistake.
We all knew he did this, but he confirmed it. LSU would have folded by the mid third had we blasted them throughout the second and continue in the third. It would have been a 30-40 pint victory. Frick that guy.
