This whole thread makes me cringe.

I don't even feel like we weren't justified feeling that way. Speaks more to the absolute turnaround... a turnaround that for any fanbase to hope for is so unlikely.

Why are we bumping threads from the lowest point in the season? I thought we all agreed we've seen a different Gus since lsu

I'll own up anything I said post LSU. I'll give Gus a TON of credit for this season, but that is still one of the most inexcusable losses I've seen

This.

There's nothing I said about the shite Gus rolled out at LSU that wasn't true, that Gus used to have an offense that was amazing and multiple and fun to watch that had morphed into an offense worthy of a retard simpleton. And that he needed to get back to that offense or GTFO.

Mission accomplished.

It may not have been the end of the world, but it was a big wake up call. Like it or not, the fan's reaction to that had to have helped Malzahn wake the hell up. He has been a different coach since then.

Yep. I am sure your total meltdown when we were getting our asses kicked by ULM helped. Thanks for doing all you did

You’re welcome.

As I’m sure your own blind, uncritical, drunken support was a source of great comfort to your close friend Gus.

Oh, and Waffle House waitresses.

Ha. This thread is gold. Proof of how far Gus has come in a few weeks, props to him. He still needs to win 3 more.

I like the bumped threads but I think it’s foolish to act like fans’ disgust with Clemson and LSU weren’t warranted. We knew we had elite talent and wanted them to perform at the level we knew they could

No doubt. But there is a limit to it. And there must be some reasonable approach. Not just "lets throw shite against a wall till something sticks" approach. Which is exactly what fans on this board did. A lot of them anyway.

This thread was a microcosm of how the whole Auburn family felt after LSU. I don't know any Auburn people who weren't embarrassed and/or pissed off after that loss.

In the end, it's the reason everybody rushed the field after the Iron Bowl and why we were happy to pay the fine.

What a turn around!

I think criticism for losing a 20 Point lead was deserved.

Gus is highly compensated and expectations come with big money in big time college football.

I do not get upset with losing. I get upset when we are disorganized, undisciplined, waste timeouts, lack development of dealing with obvious second half adjustment. LSU simple blitzed the A gap and neutralized our run game. Then we just threw deep over and over.

The last 2 conference games have been different. When a blitz occurred, AU threw to space.

Early in the season, AU looked lost on offense for being coached by a genius.

I’m for AU. I want us to win every game, and I can accept defeat when I see a game plan and effort that gets us to a place where we can make plays to win. I know we will lose some games along the way, but the game plan at Clemson and LSU was not praiseworthy.

Why is it now that we have finally figured out that when teams blitz on defense that creates an open spot for a receiver? Have we not had competent enough QBs in the past?
