What's going to piss me off is when we fire Gus, he is going to have the revelation that maybe he should adapt/evolve at his next stop and become a quality coach

GUS MALZAHN
-- "Obviously a tough loss. We started out quick, and that was really what we thought would be a key to the game."
-- Felt good at halftime, but third downs in the second half were the key. Only had one third-down conversion in second half.
-- Punt return swung game.
-- "Tough loss." Said obviously disappointed, but still controls destiny in SEC. Believes team will rebound.
-- Malzahn said third-down passes were due to situations. Would have run more if in more manageable situations.
-- "It's an extremely tough loss" especially because of the fast start. Said punt return "broke our back."
-- On 17 straight first-down runs: "We were running the ball pretty effectively in the first half... but obviously when you only get one first down in the second half," you didn't do a good job.
-- On Stidham: "I thought Jarrett did a solid job. There was a couple big drops toward the end.... I thought he played fine."

He fricking felt good at halftime.
3rd down passes were due to the situations, would have run more?
1st down: Run up the middle.
2nd down: Run up the middle.
3rd down: ?
WIN!
Maybe he knows Arkansas job is coming available.

This is the shite that kills me.
We the fans are the ultimate source of the millions of dollars you are paid every year. We give you never-have-to-work again money to give a shite about winning football games. If this loss isn't a big fricking deal to you then you have no idea what your job is.
It is a big fricking deal to have a 20 year road losing streak to conference opponent.
It is a big fricking deal to blow a 20 point lead.
It is a big fricking deal for a top 10 team to lose to an unranked team.
It is a big fricking deal to lose to a team that lost to Troy.
And it sure as hell is a big fricking deal when all the above happen in one fricking game.
You should be fricking pissed off. The fact that you're not is the most damning thing of all.

quote:Remember 10 years ago, when Bama lost to LA-Monroe? And Saban referenced 9/11 and Pearl Harbor, and we all ridiculed him for it?
We’re frustrated, but it’s not the end of the world.
Bama record since then: 120-14
AU record since then: 78-46

It may be the end of your job though.

I'd actually like him to be mad after a loss the way any decent coach would after that shitshow.

I mean, he wasn't even bothered by the 2nd half collapse against OM last week.

I just do not understand the fricking mentality that Gus Malzahn approaches play calling. When LSU scored that first time Gus should have kept the offense playing aggressive.
ANY FRICKING COACH WITH HALF A BRAIN WOULD UNDERSTAND IN A HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT YOU KEEP PILING ON.
I'm sick of Auburn playing like Jekyll and Hyde during games at the hands of Gus.
