Thanks for representing. Do you also have score predictions for all 15 wins?

In Auburn speak- pessimism is actually realism. I think.

Think the offense takes a big step forward but the D worries me. No Marcus Harris, and replacing the secondary is going to be tough.

We have recruited very well in the secondary. My worry is the LOS. Hopefully we can get a functioning Oline and we need a couple of Dline to go all Fairly on us.

I’m not ready to make a season prediction. Need to see and hear some information coming out of fall camp.
Coming out of A-Day my concerns are the run game. We looked like shite. Especially on the left side of the offensive line. Percy Lewis and Wade both concern me in the run game and in the pass game. The secondary will make some mistakes just hoping it isn’t at times that cost us games we have opportunities to win.
We have to pass the ball. We need a balanced offense.
Some things I like going into the season. We appear to have upgraded at WR and DL. We have depth on the DL but need some of the young talented guys to start stepping up. Like Reed. We at least have bodies that we aren’t constantly having to protect the defensive front from to many snaps.
To be a good team we have to have A+ special teams. We can’t continue to have average to below average special teams and I don’t just mean kickers because we appear to be extremely talented there.

Understandable and you make solid points as to why…when you put it like you did- it makes more sense to take the under on Ws and over on Ls. Per the usual, hope springs eternal with each new season, but as we all know hope isn’t a strategy and perhaps the reality is that without improved QB play, line play, running game and special teams that we are not going to see a massive leap forward this year- glimpses of a leap, but not an actual leap.

Floor: 7-5, losses to Oklahoma, Georgia, Mizzou, A&M, Bama
Ceiling: 10-2, losses at Georgia and Mizzou

Depends on if we play like it's 2023 or 2024.
Make no mistake a lot of teams who aren't extremely confident will be " playing for a playoff spot" instead of a conference title.
The players will do the same.
This is the one year for HCHF to take advantage and keep the guys focused on trying to win every game.
ETA:: at some point in the not too distant future you will see a 10 win AU vs 10 win UA and one of the teams will lose on purpose to avoid playing the extra game in ATL and be fresher for playoffs.
Provided it isn't a tremendous disadvantage like missing a double bye or something for going for that SECC
It would suck to have an injury in the SECCG and have that ruin a playoff run.

I think people always forget how tough it is to just plug in new pieces. Basically our whole team is almost new pieces who have never played together.

Floor 5-7
Ceiling 10-2
I tend to think 7-5 is likely unless Thorne plays like he did his first season starting. If he plays like he did in his first season starting, I’d say 9-3 would be the floor. That boy put up numbers his first season starting. WR also gonna be a huge position that will determine how Thorne does this season.

I think that is correct and I feel pretty good about the WR group. The offensive line also plays a role in how well Thorne does this season and that has historically been a weak spot on the offense as a whole.

8-4 is our ceiling imo. Anything better and we overachieved. If Thorne plays like dogshite and they persist with him, we may end up 7-5. I truly don’t believe our floor is 6-6. I just hope Hew has the testicular fortitude to pull players out who are not up to snuff and go to the next man up if it comes to it. He has to understand it’s open season on our studs come the off season if he craps the bed again.

Going to buck the trend.
Because it doesn't do me harm if wrong and while the new parts still have an old part (PT) he still might go out on top. Not to say he will, just not saying he can't, and hopeful feels better than pessimistic . And because that's why i watch sports.
9 and 3
Eight wouldn't surprise me but not expecting less. I'm going with everyone's loaded up on shiny new parts and pimping 5 and 0 (at home) to start.

I like the way the schedule sets up to ramp into this season. Should give the lads ample opportunity to sort things out.

7-5 seems about right. If people are expecting high expectations this year with this conference schedule, they can fricking dump that shite in the bin. We obviously have Bammer and the Mutts on the schedule, Oklahoma (depends if they adjust to the SEC) and an improved Mizzou team that won 10 games last year. It all depends on if Thorne and the WR click. If they do click, it'll be fun. If not... get drinking season started early
I think if we beat Oklahoma and head into DSOR week 5-0 that'd be a great season. i just wanna have fricking fun watching this year without any strings attached

It all hinges on Thorne. If Freeze is right and all he needed was playmakers around him with an improved OL, then we get up in the 9-10 win range. If Thorne is same or marginally better but makes the same stupid throws he did last year. We’ll be 6-6, 7-5.

I think 9-3.
I can’t (no matter how last year looked) expect us to lose to Missouri. I can’t.
I also think Jordan-Hare will be nuts for UO and they do not have experience. All the pressure on them and I think we find a way to win.
Thorne will be better. He will be in his second year in the system. Go back and look at how bad QB’s play when they transfer in the summer with no spring game.
There is a reason Coach Freeze did not overpay for a transfer QB that would not have been here for spring either.
1. Thorne will return to his previous form.
2. Cam Coleman and Fairweather force teams to play us straight up.
3. Because of 1/2 - Jarquez makes all SEC.
We coming. 9-3 is the floor.
