I really hope the people making decisions don’t think like a lot of our scared fans here. We ride with Hugh Freeze, we won’t amount to anything.

Hugh keeps putting Preston Howard out there.

I rewatched the game. Back to back plays:
1. Howard whiffs the block when Arnold got inverted.
2. Howard drops a pass for a first down. Luckily Razorbacks were offsides.

Howard makes me angry.

And then I see Freeze's fat face and get even more red.

Is Howard our worst player?

Why does Hugh keep him out there?

Guy can’t catch. Can’t block.
What does he do well?

Howard has an incompetence that makes Jake Holland look competent.

He cant block and cant catch and both show up frequently every game.

Freeze will lose this team soon, win or lose. Keeping him after that happens doesn't work short or long term. This shite I've read where people say we can't fire him because too many better jobs are open now is the exact problem we have as a program. We see ourselves as 2nd or 3rd tier and have allowed ourselves to become it. This is a chance for us to make a statement, out bid Florida or LSU for a guy. Instead we say we can't before we even try. And accept it and settle. Imagine if your kid was that way, would that be good enough too?

Where have I posted what you put in quotes? Of course, I am not one of the donors who make a difference, but my opinion is that Freeze is not worthy of remaining our HC and the longer he is just brings embarrassment to AU. I hope Cohen will surprise me and show he has been working on Hugh's replacement since A&M, but given the fact that Hugh was Cohen's when we lost Lane Kiffin doesn't garner much optimism. I have no problem with you or anyone disagreeing with me. Just quote me correctly and be prepared for a debate. I am not a gaslighter. I will return to my opinion posts. I have also been made to change my opinion as well. However; there is no logistical, moral, sympathy reason to keep Hugh Freeze as our HC for another practice, much less game, season or Heaven forbid for 2026.

Wins since 2023:

Penn St. 26
LSU. 24
Auburn. 15

But we gotta keep our guy. We are simply not committed to being a winning program.

Everyone wanted Hugh to work out. When he succeeded in recruiting top players we all thought it might. It hasn't.

There is no reason to believe Hugh is going to change anything about the way he coaches, because it has worked for him in the past. I appreciate Hugh digging the program out of the ditch Harsin left it in, but, Auburn needs to move on

That said, Auburn PTB have shown they're dedicated to giving whoever the coach is the resources needed to recruit an elite roster. Nobody is fricking better than us. I'm not trying to be a dick, but we'll never win with a Beta arse attitude.

What was Drink's record his first three years?

Come back with this weak crap when the majority of Hugh's blue-chippers shoot into the portal after this season. And if you see any upward trends in what Hugh is producing - even recruiting - I'd like to know what you're looking at.

Bad. But Drink was a young HC with only one previous year of experience before getting the Missouri job. He completely changed his approach to become what he is today. He gave up offensive play-calling and started relying on an analytics firm to find his OC's and DC's (its the same approach that Willie Fritz uses).

So he was a young HC who evolved. Like a recently drafted rookie player who struggles in years one and two, but then adjusts to the league.

Freeze on the other hand is an experienced and tenured coach. There isn't really any reason to expect that he will all of a sudden learn anything new or different, because he keeps doing the same things despite having plenty of opportunities to show otherwise. His teams even seem to show the same flaws year over year, even through multiple different schools. Like most coaches who fail, he has doubled down on a lot of things that have caused his decline in the first place.

Also, don't forget that Drink gave up playcalling duties last year.

The latest depressing statistic. We are one of 4 FBS teams to allow fewer than 25 points in every game. The others being Ohio St, Indiana, and Miami.

I've wanted to fire Freeze more than anyone. Abysmal person and coach. But I'm kinda here too now. The one exception is if you can do a clean Jetgate and get a yes out of Sumrall, go for it.

I'm afraid if we do what needs to be done and fire Hugh, we lose Sumrall to UF/LSU and end up with a Rhett strapped to another 3-4 year contract we have to get out of.
