I just replied to the last post. Not really meant for anyone in particular. Just a random thought/question, trying to figure out this fan base.

yes it would be in my opinion. It is not the offense that Gus runs and we have learned by experience that he is not going to change to that kind of offense.

So bringing in someone like Morris, who runs a very similar offense, would be a better fit In my opinion.

We currently have a shitty offense. So the solution is to double down on the shitty by adding Morris. Got it!

Can't wait to hire the Lane Train away from Ole Miss in a few years like we did with Tubs.

Just to provide facts to everybody since that’s where it’s heading.

53rd in YPG
85th in Passing Yds per game
26th in Rushing Yds per game
T-27th in Points per game

If whoever is hired isn’t going to change the Gus offense, why not hire Dell McGee so we can at least recruit some ELITE talent? Not sure who that leaves coaching QBs though

Just curious how are we against SEC opponents?

Chad Morris was good at Clemson, right? Maybe this is a good thing?

Chad Morris was VERY good at Clemson, I remember a time he was our wishful thinking candidate.

I’m not holding his time at Arky against him because 1. He just may not be head coach material and 2. Arky is a shite program.

Some coaches are just better in a coordinator role. Morris is one of them.

Chad's old job just opened up at Clemson. You guys think Dabo will try to hire him back?

If no, shouldn't that be a bit of a red flag?

This is the answer. Gus is not going to change his offense. It is what it is. Get recruiting. Nix will be coached by Gus and on the side by his dad. Throw the QB coach title on anyone, it won't matter.

It's merely a matter of shuffling the staff around to make him fit. They just lost their co-OC/WR coach. Elliott is co-OC/RB coach. Streeter is QB/recruiting coordinator. If Dabo sees Chad as an asset, it wouldn't be a huge deal to move some pieces and make him co-OC/QB coach.

Does anybody else feel like CM is a done deal? I'm just sitting here waiting for the official announcement.

I'd be much more surprised if he's not hired than I would be if he was.

I also can't wrap my head around people thinking it wouldn't be a great hire.

Im with you. My guess is, Auburn told Dillingham to start looking. Im sure Gus will be fine with Chad at OC. Who knows, there could be some trust there that none of us know about. It could be a great combination

I feel the same way. Kenny was gone so quickly. If you wanted to be negative you could suggest he wanted out of Gus' O because he wasn't given input or a voice.

I don't know that Chad is some sort of super solution, but I do believe he'd help.

I do have a question...last season didn't we end up with Dilly because the money wasn't approved to hire a better name or something like that? Would the PTB use money as a tool to prevent Chad being hired?

I think CM will be a nice upgrade over Dilly Dilly.
