I’d have to take a break if that happened.

If we want to win championships, we should hope for an outside the box OC hire that will challenge Gus. Somebody like Matt Canada or Graham Harrell or Kendall Briles or even fricking RichRod

Some of those would be solid hires, but a guy like Canada would be moronic.

Morris would probably as good as we can hope for. Someone who understands Malzahn’s system and is close to him so that he actually trusts them to give input in his offense. If you think somebody he’s not close to is just going to come in and take over or even have a huge influence on him, then you clearly haven’t been paying attention.

Of course, Lane could get caught with a dead hooker and all of it get blown up.

I'll see what I can do, no promises though.

Graham Harrell wouldn’t be a good hire at all also. He is all air-raid.

I am all for Morris. Dude was an ace at Clemson. There's lots of solid coordinators who suck as HC. Morris happens to be one. He knows Gus's system inside and out so it would be an easy transition.

And, yes he will come to AU if offered. He isn't getting a HC job at this point. If he does well as an OC again, he might get a shot in a few years, but definitely not now. Not even at Div 2.

I know reading comprehension isn't everyone's strong suit.

Maybe try reading that again

So people who don’t like Gus are freaking out about the possibility of adding Morris to the staff, while also saying Gus is never going to give up the offense. So I guess the question is, why the frick do you care who is hired?

Oh, so having an air raid guy come in and have some input into the Malzahn JV passing game would be bad? The assumption is that whoever comes in will have influence, but have to bend to the will of Gus. I think an air raid (expert on gaining yards and scoring points via passing) guy would be an excellent choice.

The point most of us are making is you cannot (and probably should not) make this assumption.

I think Lindsey and Lashlee had influence. Dilly not so much...

Not really sure your question but I misread what Jang had put. I thought he was advocating bringing in a Air Raid guy.

yes it would be in my opinion. It is not the offense that Gus runs and we have learned by experience that he is not going to change to that kind of offense.

So bringing in someone like Morris, who runs a very similar offense, would be a better fit In my opinion.
