If freeze wants to be a HC much longer, he has to completely relinquish offensive responsibilities and turn it over to someone with a whole new system. Be CEO/ head recruiter

Yup, but also has to fire Austin and Thorton, and let the OC pick a QB from the portal.

Sumrall at Tulane

His only SEC experience is co-defensive Coordinator at Kentucky. He is doing well at Tulane but I am not sure that success there could be replicated at Auburn. Better option than Mike Gundy or Sunbelt Billy though

I get irrationally mad watching Bama and Georgia play real football versus whatever it is we do.

We deserve what we have. I’ve endured two plus years of derision only because I saw from the beginning that Hugh Freeze is a scumbag, terrible human, he’s a shite coach, he has no idea how to coach offense, he wouldn’t know a good QB if they were staring him in the face.

People say he should have gone out and got better QBs. No one good will come play for him. It was out of his hands.

Another disaster. Maybe because yella fella got lucky with Coach Dye doesn’t mean he knows what the frick he is doing.

This looks like a team where the HC doesn’t give a shite. He’s more worried about his golf game for tomorrow.

Been that way for almost a decade. Even other teams that aren't that good can still occasionally execute normal football plays like slants or in routes that we haven't been able to do in years through multiple HCs/OCs/QBs

Great, except that it was to Alabama. We can't win for losing

I have seen more than enough. He is not a good HC. He is not a good play caller. He just isn't good.

I like to give a coach a chance. He has had ample opportunity to get things turned around. This is year three and the only identity we still have on O is ineptness.

The D is balling their asses off. It's just a damn shame our O minded HC is a dullard.

Yep, I’m done. The offense looks the same as last year if not worse.

From 1927 to 1929, Mike Donahue had 3 straight losing seasons. He was replaced the following year.

From 1946 to 1948, Earl M. Brown Jr. had 3 straight losing seasons. He was replaced the following year.

And now Hugh Freeze is close to having 3 straight losing seasons. If that happens, and he returns next season, it would be unprecedented in our 134-year history.

Let's assume that this is correct. There is still the question of replacement. The only coaches good enough to deliver the results we expect already have secure positions that pay a huge salary somewhere else. As wonderful as Auburn is, I don't see us being able to hire Dan Lanning or Ryan Day. I would be afraid that we would wind up with someone like Sunbelt Billy.

I'd like to see someone who is young, full of energy, brilliant and up and coming.

I'd like Durkin to take over tomorrow. Just don't think we're gonna pull the trigger and spend the money like that. Everyone from fans to board to boosters is punting on this season. Again.

If he hired a decent DC to oversee and a good OC, I'd be on board.

Other than Mercer, what two teams do you have Auburn beating?
