I hope Harsin can atleast use this to coach up the coordinators for the rest of their tenure.

That was an absolutely terribly called game that was lost on the backs of our coaches.

No especially when our two best offensive players are RBs and we’re intent on passing the ball way more than we should.

The frustrating thing about the defense is the way in which they struggled. It didn’t look like our players weren’t good enough or like they weren’t playing hard. It looked like they were totally unprepared whether that be from a gameplan standpoint or play calling/communication standpoint

I didn’t necessarily like the Kobe fumble play call but I’m not gonna hammer him for that.

Yea if he doesn't drop the ball for absolutely no reason that probably goes for 40-50 yards. I didn't love the call but who could have foreseen that?

Hopefully Harsin takes over play calling after tonight. I shook my head at the Bobo hire, and he confirmed that tonight.

Defensive scheme was garbage. Smoke Monday is bad and is a risk for taunting/personal foul with every tackle he makes regardless of game situation (i.e. when we are losing). Bo is not better than when he walked on campus, for whatever reasons… still all potential. WRs are questionable at best. Bobo called a shite game. No reason to get cute… run it and use traditional play action. Aside from Tank and Hunter, Shanker played well. Surprised me.

Oh, and the refs were terrible. Really messed up the game for both teams.

Lastly…. We looked Unprepared for the players/plays we played against…. Kept throwing against #1, all communication gaps on defense with their lineups… frustrating.

That was a bad play to call if that’s how he’s going to run with the ball, but I also think he saw the wide open field and probably stopped thinking.

We definitely benefitted from the poor calls tonight.

This is what happens when you destroy two crap teams. People get unrealistic expectations.

Meh we could’ve easily taken that one though. I’m not sure anyone expected an AU blowout. The defensive gameplan and playcalling are the head scratchers. Save a couple of plays and we win.

We have a damn fine football team and a helluva coach that preformed well above my expectations. I would have loved to have won the game but to say I’m mad at the outcome is laughable. I quit losing sleep over college football games when I quit playing college football games.

I have played and coached this game on levels you could only dream of and I learned long ago to never carry the defeats home. Those of us who have actually stepped into the arena on any level can spot losers like you and some of these other Monday morning QBs a mile away.

If you would like you to discuss Xs and Os I will meet you at the filmroom or chalkboard of your choice and if you want to bump those gums to my face I’m ok with that too and I will be in section 30, row 15, in either seat 7,8,9, or 10 next week. I will be the big fat dude with graying red hair.

My totally sober take (lol) this was two evenly matched teams and home field and a bad turnover costs us the game.

Bo is not a game changer QB that can win us a championship, but he did not lose us the game tonight. His receivers helped him zero; we are missing a Seth Williams. Our defense played well but was out of position tonight as we are still learning some zone concepts and this defensive scheme in general. This defense will get better.

We get a cleanup game and then a beatable LSU to start SEC play. We can learn a lot from this game but I am not disappointed. This coaching is way better than we were getting. A turnover by a young recover ultimately cost us in an incredibly tough atmosphere. Let us grow and learn under this staff.

Biggest thing Bobo needs to realize is that we have Caddy and Ronnie reincarnated and we passed the ball 40 times. Run the ball and we’re good.

I was proud of our guys tonight. Some dumb calls tactically. However, I also think Bo Nix has a hurt arm. ALL his deep balls sailed on him with little accuracy. I think that shot he took to the shoulder early in the first half plagued him all game.

In his heart of hearts, you gotta think Seth misses us too. Robertson and Williams would be a good combo.

Offense
-O-line can run block.
-RB’s are for real.
-Pass blocking is average to below average.
-Bo looked better overall than last year, but his deep ball sucks and he reverted to happy feet in crunch time.
-Receivers block ok, but catch like shite mostly. Nix will just never be the guy to throw dimes, so we’ve got to have playmakers here.
-Shenker is legit at tight end and it was good to see him utilized.

Defense
-Stops the run well
-Fast sideline to sideline
-No pass rush without blitzing
-LB’s are boy dogs
-DB’s got worked, but I’m not sure anybody can be expected to cover as long as we asked them to tonight. PSU exploited soft spots all night.

Special Teams
-Carlson had a great game.
-Don’t remember any returns, so meh.

Coaching
-Head scratcher timeouts taken by Harsin
-Mason forgot what a blitz was
-Bobo, wtf was that fade? Could’ve called a tremendous game (he didn’t) and this call alone would’ve overshadowed it.
-Guys didn’t seem affected by the environment. Mistakes didn’t seem to be the result of the moment being too big

I think that was intentional and something the coaches told him to do. He was still throwing fine at the end of the game. I think they told him to try to be more like Russell Wilson with his deep ball and he's just not used to that kind of throw.

Lol. Again, which is why you called people cuck mother frickers. If you were so so—beyond my dreams—seems like you wouldn’t be on a message board but actually coaching on a CFB or NFL field. Yet, here you are. Lol.
