I agree with the sentiment here, this game is mostly on coaching.

Defensively we hardly got any pressure (a lot of 3 man front) and played wayyyyyy to much zone. Very unprepared.

Offensively we had moments and drives where we looked to be hitting on all cylinders. But other times I was scratching my head. That 4th and goal play call was absolutely TERRIBLE. We need to play to our strengths more - we have two incredible RBs that need to be fed. We did that at times but not enough.

Bo Nix thoughts - so this is Bo’s third coordinator in three years and first year with a competent QB coach. For the most part, his decision making was definitely better tonight than it has been in any tough road game. Drawing that late hit was a big time move, too. But he didn’t do enough to actually win us the game. I will say though, our WRs definitely didn’t help him at all.

Hate that we lost a winnable game to James Franklin’s punchable face…but guys fought damn hard and have to imagine the outcome was better with this coaching staff than it might’ve been otherwise. Some of the playcalling on both sides was head scratching but gotta learn from it and get ready for conference play. After next week it won’t get much easier than tonight other than playing at home - time to see if the guys are truly bought in.

He’s had bad coaching for many years. If this staff can fix him, it will take a while.

He's in his 3rd year as a starter. How much more time are we giving him?

How many OCs has he had? 3? His dad is a freaking QB coach and a former P5 OC. Damn, this is starting to look like sending a monkey to MIT to learn physics.

Doesn't he also have private, paid coaching on top of all of that?

I'm sober enough to realize, our remaining opponents will have way better talent than we faced tonight.

Maybe we'll break the streak and finally beat LSU in BR.....

Yeah, I’m already seeing some improvements in him and it’s just game 3. I understand it’s year 3 so he should be further along but I do think this is a different situation. I seriously think in the previous offense he was only supposed to make one read, which is ridiculous. I’m not giving up on him just yet. I’ll check back in a few weeks on this take though lol.

No way Bro. I was here for it all. I had a few problems with decent streams and also wanted to catch a bit of some other games. No blow, I was up for about 40 hours and was all in until mid 4th qtr. I hate to admit it, but I just knew (I felt) we didn't have the voodoo or mojo to pull out a win. And damn...we were not far from that V agina at all.

Get yer shite straight old POS flardian (Please take mee fishing one day).

War Eagle everyone. Just here to post that this game and thread are behind us.

I had promised to PSimonIHC'SB if we were unbeaten going into and beat LSU.

Unfortunately, we came up a few plays and few yards short. I am so relieved that I didn't have to figure out the streaming or whatever tech I needed to for anyone interested in penciled notes on notebook paper, with some appropriate music playing and a big dip if I could get it here as I repeatedly PIIHB.

I am willing to up the stakes. Give me a night win against O and LSU in any way shape or fashion, and I will move up the show.

War Eagle.
