I'm guessing they are just using this to get looks at certain guys.. next week we will probably start seeing more of the real 1st and 2nd teams.

Just looking at the defense as a whole… That unit will be FAST. Small, but fast, and hopefully flexible to different formations.

We gotta have Dreshaun in the lineup with the 1s. He is one of the best cornerbacks in all of college football. Hopefully, he will be ready to go in September.

As jt33 is saying, I wouldn’t put a lot of stock into who’s appearing in the 1s and 2s right now. But probably shouldn’t closer to September

The more important thing is to track which guys continuously aren’t being reported in. That’s probably the injury indicator

For those that follow recruiting…

He was committed to Auburn at one time.

I think I read earlier in the week where Dreshun Miller was still getting adjusted.

Harsin made a comment in his interview with J Campbell that he knew Mason for a while and loves that he does things with his scheme to disrupt offenses . Im glad we got Mason and hope he stays for a few years as he is a great DC.

Don't read much into the who is with who on 1s and 2s. All indications are Troxell has been the best LT this fall. Might be giving him an easy day to work some others in prep for the scrimmage coming up.

Knighton and Miller I'm sure are playing catchup right now I expect both to be starters or play as much as the starters.

If troxell is the best left tackle….we are in some trouble

Let's hold our judgment until we see these guys under actual football coaches and a real S&C program. Not yoga and palettes.

Yeah, I had an error. In my defense, it is not my normal vocabulary.

Troxell, Jackson, zierer. Take your pick which is number 1. For me id go Trox because he’s a better run blocker then the other 2. And he and Jackson are about equal in pass pro

Been watching as many practice videos the past few days as I could find.

My observations...

Bo will be the starter unless he just totally melts down in the scrimmages. However he looks great in drills. The one play that was "semi" live he didn't set his feet was falling away from the rush and threw an inaccurate 4 yard pass at the feet of J. Johnson.

Bro Ham is big but needs to be a guard. If anyone can play RT would be an improvement. He got whipped one play and stumbled on another and was able to push the rush up the field some.

Jarquez Hunter looks the part but has horrible hands out of the backfield. I've seen many drops in pass routes.

The TE's all look good catching the ball.

The WRs looks small but there is some speed. I know everyone is high on Capers but I'm not. I've seen laziness in practice.

Dre Butler looks the part. Seen him putting in the hustle and seems to have some good burst this season. Interested in seeing him using his hands more. I do think Butler and Burks decide if we have an average or good DL.

DBs look like they are going to take more chances on the ball. Probably more turnovers but probably more missed tackles.

I’ve seen plenty of clips of Capers working hard. Not sure what clips you’re watching.

Also, at what point do our WR’s look small? The Johnsons and Dawson sure, everyone else looks pretty good size wise. As big as I remember having for a couple years.

Anyone trying to pretend they know anything from 2 minute YouTube clips of our practices is hilarious
