Yeah didn't mean to imply he's off the team just that he wasn't out there. I'm hoping just picked up a small injury or something.
Edit- I like how the reporters found their work around for not being able to report about people missing practice.. They just mention every person who is out there and let us fill in the gaps lol.

That’s a super tough ask for them. They basically need a spreadsheet out there to check off who all they see so that they’re mentioned
Ferg was saying it’s a disappointment but the access to practices, staff, and players is obviously a massive improvement from what they’re used to

He almost quit earlier this offseason. Regardless of what the situation is, it's obvious that he's not very committed to football at this point.

The press you quoted looks like it was from 3 days ago when it was rumored. Harsin talked today in definite terms about him being off the team

Harsin took some time today to emphasize lifting as a priority before school starts up. Says they’ll get most of the conditioning they need from practice.
A lot of guys are looking physically impressive. I think that’s more common after the off season but it’s another point of emphasis that appears to be legit and not just coach speak
