Every time I see that loudmouth it brings a little smile to my face. They played that goofy video of him telling the Bama fans to get on their feet and make some noise probably 15-20 times during the 2010 Iron Bowl. In the first quarter they were responding, but by the fourth no one was cheering and the video felt pathetic. It was glorious.

That and I am disappointed our staff seems to be ignoring PEDs. I am a huge proponent of roiding up our players. Needs to be a level playing field since I know other pgorams do

Agree if the player wants to do it. No player should ever be pushed to do it.

Amazing people still do not realize how prevalent it is. Hell when I was in HS in the 90's, I can name a half dozen players on my team that were juiced up.

Caught a discussion on local news talk radio (non-sports talk station) last week about HS and youth football here in Miami-dade country last week. Apparently a significant number of fathers who are on HRT are also juicing up their kids (HS football is almost like a business here now) and even speaking about it openly. It is sad and dumb it is becoming so prevalent in HS, but as far as I am concerned, once a player is 18 and in college, if he wants to juice, juice. Not like hundreds of guys you will be competing against at the D-1 level are not already.

I wonder how much "safer" the game owuld be and less scrutinized if players didn't juice up

Wasn't the rumor that if K Smart had been hired by Auburn wasn't he suppose to be coming also? If that would have happened I would have been sick.

Actually, Alabama players aren't very ripped in general. Trent Richardson was, but most of them carry a lot of their weight in fat. Perhaps the Alabama strategy is to put on as much weight as possible, whether it be fat or muscle. There is a reason that they have problems once they get to NFL camps.

Ellis Johnson said DT starters are still "up for grabs," and Rodney Garner will have a major voice in the decision.

So they all suck the same amount yet again. Swell.

You know what sucks when you are not in the 20s club...hangovers. They get SOOOOOOOO much worse.

God, I feel like crap!

My hangovers were worse when I was young because I had the ability to drink so much more without falling asleep.

Yup. Garner is riding Monty's arse hard because he is needed sooner rather than later. Still gonna be tough for him to develope enough to not take a redshirt. DT and OT are about impossible for a true freshman to to avoid a redshirt in the SEC.

I just wanna see us actually get pressure on the QB and force a interception or twelve or gasp a sack.

I think we are fine at DE and will get pressure and some picks from an improved secondary this year.

Still scared to death of a power running team gashing us up the gut though.

I actually hope he does redshirt because that would mean our older DTs are performing at a high level. But if the DTS are still poo, I don't understand redshirting him. Let him play and see if he can be better than them.

I really just think that between Whitaker, WRight and Blackson, there just isn't a heck of a lot of separation which is why they are having a hard time with the "starters"

I agree not a lot of separation, but I also take that to mean none are performing at a high level given what we have seen the past couple of years. I hope Monty redshirts as well. If he doesn't we have major problems most likely.

Hopefully I'm wrong. Either way we won't know for a few weeks. WSU isn't going to challenge our DTs often regardless (except maybe some draw plays).

From Hoke:

@JHokanson: #Auburn WR Quan Bray said QB NIck Marshall told him, "I'm a game player, once the lights hit, it's a different mentality."

Can't wait to see him play and show what this mentality is exactly.
